I sort of appear to have a job to go back to, which I guess is good news. Plus will be part time for the first month (August).

Tragically, my boss liked an idea I had so much that he almost thought it warranted making me full time from my first day back, but luckily I subtly got him to agree to hold back on it for a month.

Be quite nice to be in a position to buy a bigger place at last (were previously delaying over Brexit).

Ha - I know what you mean! I've been unemployed for six months twice, and I remember that when I finally got a job both times, I found the sheer effort of staying awake for a whole nine hours at a time quite the challenge! I sit on my arse for a living too (well, there's a bit more to it than that sadly).

Squirrels are a protected species ... https://www.rsne.org.uk/squirrels-and-law squirrel 🐿

Red squirrels are protected, but grey squirrels aren't. If you ask me those invasive grey squirrels have had it coming to them for a long time.

That's me off squirrelelarmy's Christmas card list and Valentine's Day card list, I'd say.

The ones you don’t want to mess with are the Russian Black Squirrels.

Yes I believe that they are trained by the Spetsnaz. They'll move on from dogs, of course, as time goes on. Soon they'll be killing humans to order, and getting a great big pay check from Putin for their services. And this they do without armaments. Can you imagine what they'd be like if they had little shooters. It doesn't bear thinking about.

Don't get me started on the Russians again. My mate is now convinced furlough has turned me into a conspiracy theorist and keeps asking me about the Loch Ness monster.

Talking of red squirrels, have you heard the low down on what Squirrel Nutkin is doing these days? He's only gone and done a big carousel fraud blag, but the filth are on to him, so his on the run. Apparently he's run out of money, mates, and luck. Apparently he's so short of cash that he's having to turn tricks up the back of a curry house. Well, that's what I heard anyway!

My apologies Homer, as I must have missed you going on about Russians in the first place. To top that off, I don't have a clue what you are talking about in your second sentence either.

Out of some considerable interest, what's your mate want to know about the Loch Ness monster? I used to be interested in the Loch Ness monster, but it didn't get past the 5 minute mark. I used to wonder about the Bermuda Triangle for a while though, if that's of any interest to anybody.

Squirrels are directly responsible for making sure I crossed the road safely.

It was the Green Cross Code Man that taught me how to cross the road safely. How I managed that I don't know. How on earth can you look left and right when your child's eyesight is directly level with his massive weapon!

Apart from that one time when I didn’t.

Ouch! That doesn't sound too good. I know a deaf bloke called Drew who gets monumentally pissed and then run over more often than the average person. I recall him telling me all the times that he'd been run over and taken to the A & E unit. I believe that he could do with the services of a red squirrel or the Green Cross Code Man.

I have vast knowledge when it comes to squirrel operations around the world.

I used to work as a Building Maintenance Surveyor. During the course of my work I came across several instances when squirrels had got in to the lofts of people's houses via the eves, and overhanging tree branches. Anyway, these squirrels would then sharpen their teeth on the electrical cable wiring. They would only do this for a short while though. the reason for this is that they would get through to the copper eventually and make a connection. Zapped squirrels.

But you already knew that, being the Squirrel Master.
