And we haven't had it confirmed but we're 99% the names come from Bruce (Springsteen) and Roxy (Music). I think I've always grown up with cats that were siblings. Other than when my Dad brought a kitten back from work that needed a home. He ended up growing up alongside a puppy and in some ways acted like one 😂 Aww that's adorable! Well thank you for saving him, you're a good person. I have too, always grown up with cats.. well a cat! We got Christopher when i was 2 and he died when he was 19 so I'd had him alllll my life. Was devastated and then Dennis was born and needed a home so was perfect! So, we're all gonna need to see Bruce and Roxy in the near future please and thanks 😊

He hasn't eaten anything not sure if he's had a drink or not cos I was snoozing (tho I did keep waking up thinking shall I go and see, so you weren't on your own @crazyfool1) So I've shut the door again for now and let Dennis play out. And hes eaten loads of them. And hes had bread and waffles and a chip. Water in there too. And shit everywhere. I opened the shed door and sat round the side on Dennis watch. He made no effort to leave, he's been stomping around tho, very heavy footed for a little bird. Going to keep trying today, if he doesn't leave on his own I'll have to phone someone to see what i can do/where I can take him. Hoping hes just a bit sore and needs a little time to sort himself out before leaving. When I was trying to catch him yesterday I noticed a mark on his side, not sure if its a bite or scratch. But not too near his wing so hopefully he'll be ok and didn't look deep and wasn't bleeding. ... im just winging it (HA getit) but I couldn't have left him out to get 'got' again last night

Yoghurt on a Stick
2 hours ago, Wellyboot said: That is very much an improvement on the (almost) empty shed that you have. That said, if I was actually forced to be critical it would be to suggest that some of those items look like they may be in working order, and actually of some use. However, it is still within 'the rules' that some items may fall into this category, so your OK if the Shed Police ever call around for an impromptu inspection. Whatever you do, do not show them the empty shed, because you'll get quite a stretch if you do. I've just remembered that in my last house I had a chimney breast with a hole in it, which I intended to put an air brick cover over, but never got around to doing. Anyway, at one point a tallboy was positioned so that the hole could not be seen. Then one night I thought that I heard a cooing noise coming from the tallboy area, but thought nothing more of it. Then two nights later, my wife said she thought she'd heard a noise coming from the tallboy area. We decided to leave it and investigate in the morning. When morning came I shone a torch into the hole in the chimney breast and there was an alive pure white dove. How the fuck a pure white dove managed to get itself down my chimney and get stuck in the aperture where an old fireplace would be is beyond me. Now I knew that a not too far off neighbour had a load of white doves, as I'd see them flying around every now and again. So, I deduced that it was one of his, and that maybe other birds had attacked it and it somehow went down my chimney. Now the problem that I faced was how to get the dove out of the chimney, through the little hole in the chimney breast and outside into the open. Fortunately a mate called around and said that he was prepared to put his hand in through the hole, grab the dove, pull it out, and put it in to a black bin bag that I would be holding. Then I would run downstairs with the bin bag into the rear garden and open the bag and get it to fly out of the bag. In fact, this is exactly what happened. Only it fluttered out of the bag rather than flew. Then it did not go 'home' to my distant neighbours, but fluttered onto the roof of my single storey extension. It wouldn't leave the roof for a good while, so we went back into the house. I guess it was re familiarising itself / getting back its bearings as to where it was. Anyway, we went out some time later and it was on the roof no more. The thing that I don't get about the above is how a pure white dove can travel down a soot lined chimney, and drop into a dirty aperture where an old fireplace would be,stay there for days, and still be pristine white when we took it out. It was indeed the 'dove from above' experience.

Quite tall for a bird and real pale all over. Very freaky looking. worked out it must be a baby or albino woodpecker, I had just woken up.
