Mystery Road Origins.

Watched all six episodes this week and enjoyed it.

The central character is good in the role later played by Aaron Pedersen, whose a very tough act to follow. Indeed I only watched Mystery Road as I liked him so much in the brilliant Jack Irish.

Yep! Ramones and Judas Priest as well!

Think it really added to the narrative of the bada** group of misfits out in the desert fighting the war in their own way

March 24th

Can't wait. One of my top shows of last year.

Woohoo! Now I' m going to head to reddit to see what the fan theories are based on the trailer 😛

I finished For all mankind. I liked season 3 a bit more than 2. It's really on a very fine line of being too soapy but still, they do make you care about the characters (except for Danny). I am a bit sad to see the original cast slowly leave.

Started season 2 of Slow Horses and I feel like jotting down the best lines of Jackson Lamb for future use 🙂

I'm exactly with you on the soapy elements of For All Mankind. I'm coming towards the end of season 2 and I haven't flown through it at the same rate as season 1. I think overall they just walk that line but at times they are definitely on the wrong side of it. Still very good, and interesting enough to keep me going.

Deepfake Reagan is freaking me out though.

Absolute classic. Looking forward to the second one next year.

Yes, saw there was the possibility of that being made this year.   Another film in the same vein is Still Crazy with Jimmy Nail, Bill Nighy, Billy Connolly,Tim Spall. About a mediocre rock band reuniting after a split years ago. Written by Clement and Le Frenais, creators of Auf Weidersehen Pet.

More deepfakes coming your way. I thought s3 was better than 2 so keep going indeed (can't say much without spoiling).

Haven't done so for a while but picked up on my rewatch of Veep. Hilarious episode about a silicon valley visit and oh, a bad deepfake!

I am curious about The last of us. I don't know the game but am always in for some post apocalyptic drama!

If anyone hasn’t seen it, and I must ask why not!, this is Spinal Tap is on BBC 1 at midnight tonight.  So get the telly volume up to 11

Ah I've got to point out that Harry Shearer wears a Shrewsbury Town shirt in that and in homage to that, there is a banner at the ground that says "turn it up to 11".

I mean they are pretty good now but there's still that uncanny valley thing with them.

Oh wow i am just wondering if the people who think the 69 moon landing was a fake take the TV show as a proof it can be done. Slightly tempted to go and do some dark and scary internet browsing.

First episode of The Last of Us is great. Been a long time since I played the game but it seems to be sticking pretty closely to the source material and capturing the grit and feel of it very well so I’m stoked for the rest. Seems like it could well be the thing to break the video game to movie/TV curse, and surprise surprise, its because they stuck to the formula instead of the writers deciding to put their own spin on it.
