Don’t bother with Cecil hotel thing on Netflix, 4 parts could have been done in 1.

Dont F**k with cats was much better (as long as you can cope with the disturbing bits)

I’ve been recommended DFWC but as a cat lover, I struggle with the idea of watching it.

Watched ‘it’s a sin’ last night. Had to watch all 5 episodes before we could go to bed. It’s heart breaking, but also has a wonderful tenderness. It’s brilliant and I can’t  recommend it enough.

One of the most powerful things I watched in a while!! Think i went through every emotion!! Tears mostly!!! Heartbreaking and sadly very real from my teenage years!!

It's taken 18 years, and almost a year of lockdowns to finally make me watch Terminator 3, and it was not actually as bad as I originally thought it was going to be when it was released!

Have these lockdowns and an exhaustion of the films supply made any one else watch films they've avoided up until now?

T3 was only considered poor because of the movie it followed. It faced an impossible task. On its own merits, it’s fine. There was a sharp drop to T4 and T5 as I recall. Dark Fate was a lot of fun but I think the franchise is now... terminated.

I agree- T3 is fine if you watch it now on it's own merits (though some weirdly sexist bits). I was pleasantly surprised by Dark Fate, but that Genisys one was absolutely awful on every level- badly miscast and I've no idea what they were thinking with the plot!

Is that so? Know it’s probably coming out this year but haven’t heard anything concrete about when exactly.

No exact date announced, but this sounded pretty concrete from Radio Times -

"The BBC has now confirmed that Line of Duty series six will air in early 2021, with the show returning to BBC One before the end of March 2021. However, an exact date is yet to be announced, so watch this space."

I really liked the first half Dark Fate, the action set pieces were great, Linda Hamilton & Mackenzie Davis are awesome and it feels the right amount of gritty. The problems for me  start when Arnie shows up and the tone of the film just suddenly changes.

Just finished the new lilited series of The Stand. I quite enjoyed it, given the budget limitations. A Stephen King group I'm on was very split but we Sai King fans are fickle creatures!

Was it better than the old tv version?

IMHO yes. The final episode was written by Stephen King and adds a bit to the original ending. I really liked it!

Some of the characters fall a bit flat due to lack of time to really get into them (I think the book is basically a 1,200 page character essay). Harold and Lloid are stand outs as getting a good amount of development. Unfortunately, Nick Andros and Mother Abigail are quite lacking.

*SPOLIERS* Alexander Skarsgaard, as ever, is more than willing to get his butt out for the camera. Something I will never complain about. I quite liked his Flagg (better than McConaughey's anyway). It did a good job at showing his weaknesses so it didn't seem really weird when he was defeated at the end.

Honestly I've seen him naked so often in true blood, it's weird seeing him wearing clothes😂

1st episode of Bloodlands excellent. Glad to see they've gone old school & it's not an 'all episodes streaming now'. I like having to wait a week to find out what happens.

That’s like saying I’m glad Amazon took 5 days to deliver my robotic monkey rather than 1, are you of sound body and mind?

No, I'm just old & that's the way I've watched TV for most of my life. I like the anticipation & looking forward to something all week!

I like weekly episodes if it's one of my favourite programmes. It draws it out so I have longer to enjoy it. If I'm in a bingeing mood I'll just pick a show with multiple seasons. Or just watch Parks and Rec for the millionth time.
