All this silly stuff that Trump does, the shocking weird stuff he says, the stunts...we all laugh at it, but it works. It makes the news, no one is listening to Harris because they're just gawping at Trump. The polls show it. Worked in 2016, working now.

It goes both ways really. A lot of people will see him doing an hour worth of ‘work’ at a closed McDonalds with the only customers being his hand picked fans as insulting, whereas I’m sure others will fall for it and think ‘he’s just like us!’.

Honestly, I don’t think it moves the needle at all. His fans love it, his detractors laugh at it, and undecideds go down the middle.

A worryingly large portion of people are seemingly willing to overlook all of his shittiness, and in this case, his disdain for their race entirely, because he’s a man and Kamala is a woman and they don’t think a woman should be leading the country.

I don't think it's so much a willingness to overlook it, just that they don't actually see it. Everything disagreeing with their candidate is either fake news or 'election interference'.

I expect middle east conflict is the main factor with Arab Americans.

I know he’s more or less been saying this all along so it’s no surprise, but he really is just replaying 2020 all over again if he loses isn’t he?

I mean, he's consistent in whinging that anything that produces a result other than him winning is fixed. Pretty sure he was doing this in 2016 before the election night surprise, and even then still spent much of the year or two after complaining about losing the popular vote.

I'm not sure this production proves Trump will win though. If anything, it kinda proves that US electoral polling is vulnerable to shifts in perceptions.

Hell, the guessing game of this race has been maddening, not least as in the last two or three weeks, there's been articles where both parties have apparently had internal polling looking bad for them, which means one of them is wrong. Probably. Last week, there was even an article in Politico suggesting the Republicans are in trouble in several Senate races when re-taking the Senate from the Dems was a target for this cycle, which... f**k does that reveal in all this?

This is a massive f**k-up on the part of the Harris campaign and Labour. While it may not meet the legal threshold of election interference, it certainly looks like election interference and that's all that matters at this stage.

Also, it's hard to see how any of this would even benefit the campaign, when it's just a handful of door-knockers.

When Trump is certainly benefitting from Russian interference, the Harris campaign should have been going after that, while keeping a clean house themselves.

Anyway, not sure how much of an impact on the US election, do voters care about this? I guess what might do is tar Harris with the scary far left badge, which is kind of amusing seeing how the left see Starmer over here. What it will be bad for though is US-UK relations if Trump wins, which were always likely to not be great anyway. Trump is a vindictive man child who doesn't forget.
