Do you think we'll get a final result by end of today?

Depends really. Could do, but given how close it’s likely to be in PA and GA they might not be willing to call it until it’s a dead cert. I’m not sure I expect any of the 4 key states to be called today given how close they are, but we’ll be 99% sure where it’s going I think.

Arizona is the only borderline one. PA is going to be a significant Biden win.

Let me get this right....if we lose Arizona (11) we're then on 253 to Biden and 17 short?

PA alone would seal it at 20, but without PA we'd need both Nevada (6) and Georgia (16)?

Loving this, don't remember the last time it felt good to watch election coverage! (in terms of the person or party you want to win doing well)

Doesn’t feel right does it? All I’ve know is electoral misery since the Tories got in 2010. Practically my entire adult life.

Pretty much. Will know how Arizona is going to go soon. Think there’s another update coming up

The last time for me was Obama but that feels so bloody long ago now.

I went to spend that election night (2008) with my brother and his housemates at uni. Colouring in the map, taking appropriately coloured shots as states were called, and celebrating wildly when Obama won. I woke the next day with a real feeling of optimism about the world.

Needless to say, every election experience since has been a major disappointment.

All credit to the people counting the votes, but Jesus Christ what a mess this system is. Some areas haven’t budged in ages, a day in some cases. It’s the 21st century and this is the best the biggest democratic nation can do?! beggars belief really.

yeah...China would have this all counted, done and dusted in a few hours. ...except they don't count votes of course.
