The general consensus is that the common message about the full lineup on May 6 referred to the full lineup for the wider common area with further announcements for individual venues within the common to follow.

But the message literally says "full line up for Glastonbury", not "full line up for the Common"...

Oxfam put out a notice the other day, saying "More volunteer places for Glastonbury will be available Wednesday". They didn't qualify it by saying "Only for Oxfam, not the other volunteer agencies", but everyone knew that because it was common sense.

Same shit here.

But why would they say "for Glastonbury" then? Does the Common area appear at other festivals?

Not as The Common, no.   The team behind The Common do though.

I think we're all wrong.  Just seen this on Twitter.  So does that mean that if the Common are going to be involved int referral to the Privilege Committee, when they say a full line up on 6 May, they mean the Government after the local elections on the 5th?

nice to see my local MP is OK. He's been MIA since the election

Eh? Pretty sure I'm doing the complete opposite.

"6th May is the full line up for Glastonbury"

that's such a simple, easy to understand sentence and yet some people are struggling and thinking they mean something else? LOL

This is how The Common works, one poster for their full line-up, then individual stages with day/line-up split.

In 2019 there was a Common poster in April:

Then individual more detailed line-up stuff came later:

Emily said we would still be getting individual areas before the full line-up in June. I'd tend to believe her more than The Common's social media lacky.

The full quote was ""6th May is the full lineup for Glastonbury - then we'll be sharing individual venues from the 20th May".

If it really was "the full lineup for Glastonbury", shorn of any context, then they wouldn't need to share individual venues from 20th May as by most standards the "full lineup for Glastonbury" is the one that'll include the venue breakdown.

But the context is - it's coming from an area specific account, in response to questions that can therefore safely be assumed to be about the area. There's already an example posted in this thread from 2019 showing exactly how this played out.

Again, you're assuming something that isn't there.
