"Glastonbury news" could be a dozen different things of course. Doesn't have to be lineup related.

It could be as simple as a post saying "Yes, we're going ahead, pay your balance first week of March and we'll have the resales on March 17th+20th."

A chicken could easily set up a Twitter account and say an announcement was nigh. Is nigh better than imminent? Are random Twitter accounts reliable? One way or another we'll be getting news before long.

Far point, but there is slightly more credibility to this chicken though, as its followed by various in-the-know Glasto accounts

It isn't though, it's followed by The Thingy and The Crazy Fool of this parish, the only credible follow it has is Jo Whiley, it follows all the right places but so could @hangedchickens. Saying something is coming soon when something is obviously coming soon is exactly the sort of things the chickens did when they first appeared as a parody of this sort of in the know nonsense and some people believed the chickens.

News is coming soon but not because a random Glastonbury Tips Twitter says so.

Maybe they want to announce something to mark a month exactly til the poster drops.

We making bets on the date? Ill take 25th of Feb since that gives everyone a 3 day head start before the balance window kicks in. That seems like a logical thing to do. Worst case is Monday the 28th, but why not give people some fair warning.

Macca news is coming within the next week.

I think we will then see the festival confirm Kendrick following his Super Bowl performance with the first poster coming in the last week of Feb.

Kendrick is barely gonna get 2 mins during the halftime show. Would be funny if the nfl had that much reach to not let em say he is at a sold out festival on another continent that 99% of the people watching in the u.s would even know about. Or even notice he had any performances booked for that matter.

also the trailer for the halftime show just dropped

It was this day last year that they announced the festival wouldn't be happening in 2021...

What better way to wave goodbye to that sad milestone than to announce Macca...

If rumours are believed it sounds like the finishing touches are being made to the shows that Macca will play this summer. I reckon he will be good to announce once those are all locked in.

TW Classic looks to be happening now that Bruce isn’t doing it.

I wouldn't say it has anything to do with the festival being stopped from announcing him pre Super Bowl but if the performance gets everyone talking, even if he's only a small part of it, it would be foolish not to jump on the hype and announce him as headlining...

Was Kanye announced before or after that Brit performance? Can’t remember?

Anyway I think these things are usually coincidental - but I would like to believe Kendrick has a bunch of dates waiting to be announced any day now.

Looking back, Kendrick didn't actually get his own announcement in 2020, he was just announced within the first poster drop so perhaps we'll get Macca soon with Kendrick not announced until end of Feb.
