So Foo Fighters and Adele in the round didnt hit 100? The other thing is that the pitch at the Coliseum wasnt even fully sold. If you check one of the overheads theres an entire area thats empty and its likely due to fire code. I found that kind of odd that they set it up that way. Possibly due to crowd movements cause Fred was switching spots throughout the show. And dont forget this show was announced with a week before showtime and still sold 75,000 tickets. think he could sell as fast at Wembley or it would have to be traditional sales?
The other thing is I dont think they could have the same ticket format for the seating areas. you bought tickets by specific section and it was just general admission in the section. But nobody was checking tickets when you went to the section. So you had a bunch of people who bought $40 nosebleed tickets just sneak down to the areas of people who paid $150. Would there be enforcement or just trust that people are being honest with their tickets.
I've messed this up, as I should have started from the first answer to my OP, really.
I'm going to come back to this. It is evident to me that I am unable to continue right now.
Thanks for the suggestion Beerqueen. Oddly enough I have camped on the land of Farmer Phil's Festival. One of my friends (Jamie) somehow managed to hire the site for his 60th birthday celebrations - during covid and when one could still meetup in groups of 30. Jamie and other friends had the equipment hired for a silent disco. The weather was perfect, the site was perfect etc In addition the 2CB I was given was perfect. I asked around me if anybody else saw a squadron of drones playing a merry dance in the sky. It was then that I was told that I was looking at the stars, and that there were no drones in the sky.
We went around the clock that night, with assistance of an open real log self feeding wood fire to keep us warm ( And then at about 7.30am we heard the sound of French horn(s) going off. And then suddenly a 'real live' hunt came over the hill we were facing, and down the hill and almost through us, but actually slightly around us. It was the whole works - the foxhounds, the people on horseback with red jackets, and people on quad bikes too.
I am flexible on when my 60th can be celebrated. I'll be quite OK if it isn't as well.
You're missing the point (again). No one cares if there are pop acts (or EDM, R&B etc) at the festival. Diversity is to a certain degree nice and makes sure that everyone can find something they like. It's if/when pretty much whole days are being set aside to other genres than what people have been used to the last 15 years, it becomes a problem. I don't know how many years you've attended RW, but it's becoming more and more obvious for some of us. This was the case this year, and next year's Sunday currently looks like another example, although one still can hope for something different.
