How does that compare with your groups interest in previous legends like Dolly, DiRo, Paul Simon etc?    Just had a look at some stats as I thought maybe my 44 year old perception might be a bit warped!  Like a lot of us, my early musical interests were shaped by my parents and my mum is a bit of a Rod fan, so it resonates with me - his hits bring back family memories for me so I'm keen to see him.    Anyway, he's had 10 UK number 1 albums and 31 UK top ten hits.  And the new metric of monthly Spotify listeners comes in at 12 million. Active for 6 decades, he has the vital stats to be eligible for the slot really.     I guess we'll just have to wait and see his popularity with the Glasto crowd, but I expect it's in the same region as DiRo.

Just watched a few clips of Travis on his latest tour and he falls into the category of rapper who end up feeling like their own hypeman when performing live. Seems to let the backing track do most of the heavy lifting whilst he jumps about with flashy stage production. (I know this criticism has been said about Eminem though) 

Same here, Eminem is a bucketlist act for me, Travis not so much so I'm hoping they've got a really solid rock band to clash with him
