Off the top of my head I think that Van might be in a, not necessarily similar but, similarly-obscure box as Morrisey - but also he has lots of history with the festival.  Felt like unfinished business with him (as in Eavis' sad that he stopped coming to play) when I was reading the 50 book.  What are the chances of him being at the festival (or what are the things that I'm forgetting that would make him highly unlikely)?  Musically, at least, I'd probably go elsewhere - not a big fan.

Dunno, that June/July gap screams "European festivals" to me...

My thoughts exactly.  Always missed them at Glasto in the past due to clashes.  Had serious regrets over the 2010 Other Stage show as it seemed like the entire site was raving about it afterwards.

I can confirm it was excellent.

If anyone comes away from a Flaming Lips set with anything other than a massive smile on their face I think they must be a bit dead inside.

We were just talking yesterday about their set at WOMAD last year, Wayne had this mechanical bird he sets off flying, but not before he does a big build-up to it's flight. Anyway he launches it, it flies up and half a second later it's stuck in the roof. Classic Spinal Tap moment. We're still laughing about it. I truly love the Lips.

Who was on the American Football train with me? Just been added to 2000 Trees in July after the 1975 gig.

2 UK dates only in their entire schedule, a week after Glasto. Let's keep the faith.

Also added were Eagles of Death Metal, Electric 6, Employed to Serve, get cape wear cape fly, Destroy Boys etc.

I could see Employed to Serve playing at the farm somewhere!
