I doubt it, just looks like a few days off to me. Wouldn't shock me if they were there taking it in as punters though. Possibly even a fact finder for future years...

I agree @HughJassthat it’s very unlikely, but it’s an attractive prospect to speculate about, and that’s all we’ve got to satiate our festi-dreams right now.

@Kalopsia it’s headliners or nowt I think. Saw them a few years ago when Slash first rejoined. Wall to wall hits and a massive party. Had heaps of mainstream success, one of those bands that you’ve forgotten how many of their songs you know.

I’m all over dad rock Saturday though, imagine Aerosmith into GnR, never gonna happen, and it’s a bit Donnington ‘89, but effin hellfire 😂

I'm not a fan particularly, but if Macca's bailed then GnR Saturday would go some way towards compensating.

I'd agree with that, maybe the Eavii are adamant that Live & Let Die must be performed on that Saturday night.

The 5 day gap is a lot more than what the rest of the tour has going. Maybe Slash will guest with somebody.

I like to think we won Slash over when he last played but there was about 10 people there and most of us were sunbathing.

I’m pretty sure a similar hole was there in 2020 and again in 2021 and now 2022. If it’s a thing that’s gonna happen it was also gonna happen in 2020 and keeps moving.

Rage Against the Machine have just announced a US tour. It starts on the 31st of March and continues until May 23rd, then takes a break and resumes on the 9th of July and ends on the 14th of august.  So they've got all of June free....

more importantly, they finish their tour with plenty of time to be at R&L.

Keep in mind that in June they had prior festival commitments and they can still honor them but it wouldnt be announced this far in advance, so keep that in mind. And yeah, seems like Reading and Leeds could be on the cards. But hopefully a solo show too.

Alicia Keys must be in with a shout. The Miley slot would be great but would they do back to back female legend and 3rd places. To be honest her music taking a subbing slot would be even better. As strange as it might be. Arctic Monkeys, Alicia Keys, The Specials, DIana Ross. Though I think The Specials are way too small now for the 3rd spot...but many would opt that 5th is too low.

Doubt she would sub, her last album didn't exactly set the world on fire. If she played even 3rd, it would be purely based on her back catalogue from 10 years ago...

fair. she is still playing arena's though, 3rd down is probably right. And they've given Elbow and Dizzee repeated sub slots with no real reason for them.
