I might end up changing my mind about how the NHS is doing. I don't have details yet (my oldest bruv was in florida, so contact with the hospital wasn't as regular as it might have been) , but my old mum passed away in hospital this morning. Last I'd heard she was doing OK and was waiting for transfer to a rehab ward.

I’m really sorry to hear that Neil, I hope you are doing ok as you can be. Please let me know if you need anything.

Thank you. She was 88 a good innings, and frail and ready to move on n cos she's had it tough for the last five years. I'll treasure the week I spent looking after her when she'd had a stroke just before I had my stroke two years ago . It surprised me how much I enjoyed doing that for her. And I'm so glad that I got to tell her that I'd enjoyed it.

Sounds like you were close with your Mum. I’m sure she enjoyed having you there caring for her too.

Very sorry to hear that @Neil

Maybe take some time for yourself and have a little step back from this for a little bit?

Neil I am sorry to hear this, hopefully she is at peace now and you should look after yourself too please.

thanks Paul, I'm chilled, and my brothers will be sorting what needs to be sorted. only thing I'll have to do is to get myself to Hampshire for the funeral when arranged.

There’s an easy answer to the 2nd tweet - ‘the Tories have weakened the NHS further so he has realised that we need a slightly different approach’

Don't think that messing with GPS contracts again will improve things.

Just the idea that patients should be able to refer themselves is insane. Doctor Google filling in for GPs. People booking themselves in to see the neurologist everytime they have a headache. Bananas

I'd book myself in with specialists, have been trying to book myself another free sports massage but can't get the online booking system to work.

You’ve had some serious health concerns and presumably know when something needs attention and are I guess sensible enough not to abuse it. But to expect the same of the general population is wishful thinking. Your wait for your massage would go up tenfold
