Camping at Worthy Farm

We were ultimately able to come to Worthy Pastures last weekend from France. We had an amazing time with the family, and we really enjoyed every second of our stay.

Very happy to have been able to do what we never take the time to do during the festival: explore the surroundings (Pilton and Glastonbury).

The atmosphere was so nice and soothing.

I spare you the pictures of my ecstatic children on the Cadmus play ship, the dragon, and in the Pink Castle.

That’s what we found.  It was reminiscent of those occasional times at the festival when you’ve had enough of the frenetic atmosphere seeing bands and you just wander into the quieter areas, sit down with a drink and maybe chat with a stranger. The stone circle at dusk with the fire lit and kids toasting marshmallows, we  felt so chilled out.

Also glad we stocked up on food and didn’t forget anything (that we’ve noticed yet) - the general store is charging £4.50 for a tiny punnet of blueberries and £4 for a £1 bag of ice. Captive audience…

They play some good tunes in there though.

How’s things this weekend? I would imagine the place is busy and everyone wandering about identifying the various fields.  A must is the stone circle at dusk but take a rug, i got bit on the arse by something creepy crawly.  And let the kids see the dragon.

No!  The dragon has to be stumbled upon in a daze. Several times before you remember where it is

And that, people, is why Chris is on a list and not allowed near playgrounds.
