I had a similar thing happen to me in 2011. Had the lanyard and ticket around my neck over my hoodie, took the hoodie off not thinking and only realised I'd lost my ticket when we got to the gate to get a pass out. It was very late, 4am possibly, and we were all battered so no one had a clue where it might have been lost and it hadn't been handed in. So I got sent to this little office where a guy called the main control area and they asked for my full name, address etc. So the guy at the other end asks what colour is his hair. Guy asks me to remove my hat and says down the phone it's brown. Control guy then asks what colour are his eyes....take off your sunglasses please mate.....erm they're black!!! I correct him that they're blue and he says they're blue apparently with a smirk. In the state I was in I didn't really find it funny at the time but looking back it was pretty amusing.

Tom Jones, Squeeze, P.I.L, Roger Daltrey etc etc. Presumable Dreamland is attempting to rebrand as 'God's Waiting Room', with St Peter in charge of doing the bookings.

I have temporarily lost my mind, dignity and self respect (no surprises there, I suspect), but can't think of a physical item that I have lost.   I have seen two young women hand in a wallet heaving with cash notes into one of the Lock Ups once. The ladies had phoned a number which was a contact number in the wallet, and it was the owners dad. They told him that they'd hand it in to X lockup, and the dad rang one of his mates at the festival to tell his son where to get his wallet back.    One of my mates (who makes me look like an amateur on the drug taking front) found a very fancy (just newly out edition) mobile phone, and went staggering up to a police officer on horseback and gave them the phone to deal with.   I have another festival friend who will find 'something' at every festival he goes to (which is lots). It's mostly wallets or drugs. He hands the wallets back in to lost propertyr or a steward, but checks them for drugs and takes them out of the wallet if they have any in there, before handing over. That's not because he wants the drugs, but because of the potential fall out for the owners of the wallets.

I’m pretty sure I have never heard a single song by Olivia Rodrigo or Charli XCX, always seems weird when people talk about acts like this headlining Glastonbury but I guess that makes me old. Felt the same about Dua Lipa last year, I had just come off shift with Oxfam when she was on last year so stopped to see what the fuss was about, all sounded very samey to me, not my bag so went over to Idles instead. Will always seem odd for me to see acts who I would expect to be at Radio 1 big weekenders headlining Glastonbury though…doesn’t seem right.
