Their booking is confusing us. They are announced to play Super Bock Super Rock in Portugal...but their website says "Nos Alive"...

Jungle and Hot Chip share the same management so there was a mixup is the consensus

Wow - really surprised by this. Only got a ticket because I've got access to a place in La Cala and thought it'd be nice to see Kraftwerk while having a little holiday. Turning into a proper festival now...Might be an interesting mix of folks there for the rock headliners and the excellent DJ undercard.

Thursday is still fairly weak, though keen for Roisin Murphy and Arctic Monkeys are always fun, but that Friday is bananas. Saturday will be interesting with the folks only there for Liam Gallagher being treated to a really strong electronic lineup.

What does that comment even mean? Beyond the first two words I really can't tell what he's talking about.

Not overly fussed if he was out personally (might even drive away some of the laddish punters only going for him), but not sure what it would mean for the festival as a whole. Shift Chemical Brothers over to Saturday?

Means he'll do the concert in the afternoon at Wembley then fly over for the Spain gig then back straight after it. Doubt he'll catch last orders though.

Wow - so early, that's great. Will be interesting to be see the site map when it's out.

That run of Nick Cave - Kraftwerk - Chemical Brothers - Hot Chip is gonna be special, but hope the stages aren't too far apart.

We're just back from BBK Live festival in Bilbao from the same organisers. Was by far the best festival we have ever been to, so I emailed to see would the same set ups be in place for Cala Mijaes and they said more or less yes.

What you can expect from that is

- Possible wrist band collection from different locations other than the festival. In Bilbao these were open from the day before from early until 2am. This was great for beating the ques at the main entrance.

- Cashless system with online wristband set up or top up locations around the festival. Not everyone is a fan of this but I am. Beats the ques at the bars and eliminates lost or stolen money. Any money left over could be claimed back easily from 4 days after festival.

- Beers were I think 7 euro for small or we went with 10 euro for a pint and a half. Seen lots of people online complaining about this but didn't bother us as cheaper than at home in Ireland at any concert or festival. They had staff around the front of the stages with beer back packs on to pour your drinks. We tipped them nicely and didn't have to go the bar.

- A week before they released the App. Great for setting your own timetable. This also had a map and chat forums if you wanted to ask questions or chat to other users.

Who knows how it will be with the first year running but if they have the above in place could make life a lot easier.

Good to hear. Prices/cashless/app all sounds good. Obviously expensive for Spain, but pretty standard for a festival. Hope they've got a bit of decent choice.

Would be good to have the wristbands before showing up, but not sure where they would do it. Possibly Fuengirola for one, but hopefully somewhere central in La Cala too (that central pedestrianised bit?).

It would make sense that they have wristband collection points from areas they are running busses from but who knows. Sponsors are on the website. Beer is Cherveza Victoria, Beefeater and Redbull. I'd say that's it

Beat me to it!

We’ve booked the shuttle bus from Fuengirola for each day, wasn’t too expensive either!

Good to hear on cashless, friends were at Mad Cool and apparently made everything so much easier queue wise as well.
