RIP Tom Parker. Died today due to inoperable brain tumour.

Was he not performing shows with them like a week ago, or were they touring without him in support of him?

Either way, very sad. Cancer is obviously awful at any age, but really strikes a nerve when it’s somebody so young.

RIP Mira Calix

Most likely relatively unknown in mainstream circles (I admit I had to look her up) she was clearly a major force in experimental music and soundscapes who leaves a large body of work as her legacy.

Another artist gone well before their time 😢

Very sad.  I saw him being interviewed with some of his bandmates only recently, and I was struck by his stoicism in the face of the inevitable, and how clearly supportive his bandmates were around him.

Yet another gone too soon. Thoughts with his family, loved ones and the band today.

As a brain tumour patient I have first hand experience in this awful illness. I was lucky and mine was operable. Many others aren’t.

They can affect anyone in life and the more studies that can be done on the illnesses then more lives can be saved.

Glad you were lucky. I have a friend who was lucky and a cousin who wasn't. Sadly seems to be one of those cancers that disproportionately affect younger people as well. My cousin was only 31 when she died.

I worked for the charity for nearly 2 years. Met so many amazing people. My dad sadly passed away from a GBM in 2013
