got a funny feeling Black Midi might be Garden headliners. 

Edit: They are normally taken from the third and/or fourth line (very occasionally line two) of the line up poster. I reckon its between Black Midi, Aldous Harding, Perfume Genius, Tinariwen, Kevin Morby and The Magnetic Fields for Garden headliner with a fairly strong chance of another contender being added later like White Denim were in 2018. Kurt Vile definitely seems more like a Woods sub to me. 

I think we might be overlooking the possibility that The Magnetic Fields are Woods subs.

If Kurt Vile and Aldous Harding are both playing on Sunday, I would imagine one of them would headline the garden.

On a purely selfish note, I really want Perfume Genius to sub the Woods, so he doesn’t clash with any of the headliners. I agree he would be a perfect Garden headliner, though.

Yeah good point. Aldous Harding would be much better in that slot imo and would suit the intimacy more.

Is it just the listing the first day of the festival thing? 

Bands in town even lists 7:00pm as the set time.

It wouldn't be a listing if it's being posted on his actual FB. Possible that he/his team do(es)n't yet know for sure and is putting the first day, of course.

Acts surely get booked for specific days e.g. Primavera Sound put out ALL the day splits as soon as they announced their lineup (and many months ago).

EOTR chooses to only share this info with us at a later date.

Will have to find myself a Friday headliner but happy with that otherwise. Last few Sundays have been a bit meh for me.

Not sure. EOTR isn't listen on their website and they have the Friday, Saturday and Sunday free.

Also worth noting that they had Sunday down for 2020 and 2021, although obviously they've moved stages since then so can't say it was always the aim to close out the Woods.

Yeah, reckon she's made for the Garden Stage. I also concur that she's fantastic. Never seen anyone tune a guitar so quickly just by ear. 

The show I saw her do earlier this year supporting Ichiko Aoba was sublime.

I was thinking she'd be just as much an intimate sleeper hit in the Tipi, but given she was a success on the Green Man Mountain stage last year you could probably put her anywhere - which is why her scheduling before pulling out on Talking Heads mid-afternoon last year was disappointing.

I hope so, but Magnetic Fields are also Saturday and I had them down as Garden headliner.
