I know very little about Duran Duran. How do they stack up in terms of size? Would they be one of the bigger legend slots or on the smaller side?

They're a lot of fun, and John Taylor is one of the most proficient bass players in the UK at the moment, giving them a funky edge.

Someone on another forum I'm on says that Cat Stevens and Blondie are playing. They thought that Blondie would be Sunday teatime, but I'd imagine it's Cat Stevens if it's between those two....

Cat Stevens would be epic. Seems like he wants to as well…

Cat Stevens Scores On The Doors

Pros

Fits the Radio 2 Sunday Soothers aspect of the slot

Decent smattering of classic jams

He's a performer that should definitely be up on El Pointo in some context

Hopefully still has the pipes

Cons

No party bangers

A few guaranteed lulls

Vibe will be circa the Paul Simon level

May repeat his call for the fatwa on Salman Rushdie

"Holding out for the right slot" sounds like Duran Duran want Pyramid headliner or Legend status, or possibly even just the former.

Wouldn't book them to top the Pyramid with all of the other acts available on-hand, but would have them as a legend. Believe their US run with Chic and Bastille wraps up just the week before, so they'd be tour-drilled, undoubtedly.

The Wild Boys
Hungry Like the Wolf
Notorious
A View to a Kill
Union of the Snake
Come Undone
Ordinary World
Planet Earth
The Reflex
10 White Lines (Don't Don't Do It)
11 Girls on Film
12 Save a Prayer
13 Rio

i take it as the former, if they've not been they might not be aware of the legends slot.
