2023 legend slot

I would crawl over a table of broken Hells Angels pint glasses to see Iggy Pop do the legend slot: it would be absolutely off the charts incredible! (It won’t happen, but a boy can dream - it would be peak marvellous scenes)

Belinda Carisle frequently plays rockfests and things so perhaps likely...and I would be there for it!

Bryan Adams, Phil Collins, Carole King, Cher, Sting, Simply Red (!)?

If they are expanding it to bands then you can throw in Spandau Ballet, Simple Minds. I know they played the Other Stage not so long ago but could Blondie do it?

Is Cliff Richard an outrageous shout? I think he fully deserves it.

Absolutely does. Maybe not the big legend slot but the one before. 2pm ish.

Fuck it, get The Shadows in too. First ever British rock and roll band nd theyve never played it

How can y’all suggest such small options when it’s clear that acts the size of the Spice Girls are in the running?

I think we have a few years before this is going to downgrade in size yet.

(not talking about cliff btw)

I think it’s more Hope than expectation. Spice Girls really would mark the final transition to “Basic Fest”. You might as well add a Nando’s stall and somewhere to collect H&M orders. Perhaps screen the latest Top Gear in the Pilton Palais…

No idea tbh. Also got no idea what he's like in terms of ego, perception of Glastonbury and all that good stuff. But it's not necessarily one that anyone would have expected Diana Ross to be up for a few years ago, so who knows?

He insists all three front rows of his concerts are reserved for people who buy the cheaper seats then get moved down so its people who want to be there not corporate stuff so thats pretty cool i reckon
