This is the place to get all your campsite information needs, as well as general overview of the festival.

Congratulations on your first Glastonbury, it really is the best festival there is. Have a fabulous time and stick around this board for all the excitement in the build up.

Came here to answer your query, but @Hotchilidog has basically answered it perfectly - read Tort's FAQ and then keep up with this marvellous forum.

If you're in your early 20s, you may well want party central for camping, which is Pennards, but to get a spot there you'll need to be near the front when gates open (ie queuing through Tues night). If not, I wouldn't worry too much about where you camp, all of those fields are part of the greatest place on Earth.

I guess a tip would be get your head around how big it is (this site is good for that: https://gsp8181.co.uk/glasto/). Make sure you have decent footwear for the amount of walking(/dancing) you'll be doing. Although, at your age you're pretty much invincible, right?

Would echo the above, if you can get there Tuesday night then prime camping spots are around the pyramid and other stage, but in reality you can’t be near everything so don’t worry about it too much. I would echo BSR’s comment above, if I could give one bit of advice and one bit only to anyone of any age, as boring as it sounds I’d say look after your feet. You’ll walk as a minimum 10 miles per day without even thinking about it, and if your feet start to hurt in any way, then it can make things really miserable. Wellies might be necessary but they can be very uncomfortable too. I buy some gel insoles and I’ve got some 1000 mile socks to make any footwear I wear as comfortable as possible.

Also you can bring your own booze absolutely anywhere in the festival, so bring as much as you can to save money. You can buy mixers on-site but bring plenty of spirits.
