Thought I'd bring this thread back to life.  It's basically the same as the 2017 thread, with IICON added and Wally's bar + London Underground removed.  Let me know of any capacities we know of and any venues that have been removed/added.

Here's the 2017 thread

I'm sure it's correct, but The Other stage always feels like it can hold waaaay more than WH.

Guess it's the openness around the stage which makes it feel bigger.

Sam Fender could cause chaos if it is only 40k.

The Other field feels much bigger than 5K more than West Holts - surely more than 40k there for recent big sets (Blondie, Rag & Bone Man, Florence spring to mind),though I guess a certain % of them will be outside decent range of the speakers?

I know.  I saw those numbers and thought it can't be right.  I've not read through the thread, so I've no idea where they came from - it is 5 years ago after all!

I'll change it - but I'd rather have something more concrete than "surely the difference is more than that??" to go on.  There must be an source somewhere.  BTW, here's the source for IICON:

The other new addition in 2019 was the Wormhole but every time I went past there was a huge queue because the UK jazz scene is very trendy so I never went in even though I, too, like all the trendy bands. From footprint I guess it’s about the same as Stonebridge though?

The Temple has got to be 1-2k ?

I'm pretty sure The Temple in 2019 is a different, much bigger venue than the one in 2016 (latest festival when old thread was created).  Find me a source with the new capacity and I'll update it.

Citations needed hive mind, we can* do this!

* looking at the number of gaps last time, we clearly couldn't.

Has the Truth Stage been knocked on the head? Comes up on GF google searches but is now ' Page not found' when you click through. Or has it just been renamed as something else?

200 or so I’d say

Hasn't Love Bullets gone?

Yes, thank fuck. I forgot about that place. The most un-Glasto space at Glasto. The only venue at the festival where I've seen more than two police officers. At one point, there were a dozen of them. Not unusual at some festivals but quite disconcerting to see at Glastonbury.

That said, Elrow is always a laugh.

Was that 2017? Remember there being some sort of incident when we were by there .
