One big regret I have is when I sold my copy of the Glastonbury Fayre triple album back in the early seventies. Sold it through an advert in melody maker for a fiver. It was the first pressing and in mint condition. Really needs the cash!  Tracks from Bowie,Gong, Hawkwind, Pink Fairies etc. The sleeve contained a booklet, poster and a fold up pyramid. Collectors item now, wonder who bought it from me. I remember posting it to Derby!

I was a record collector in my youth, but when the kids came along I sold off much of my collection.  At the end I had 2 boxes remaining, one of which was mostly worthless remnants I'd not yet sold and one of which was collectables to be saved to be sold years down the line.  My ex accidentally gave the wrong box to my in-laws when they were doing a boot sale.

There’s been a few rereleases over the decades, the one I flogged was an original 1972 pressing, bought on its release from a then unknown mail order company called virgin who sold cheap albums via adverts in the music press!

The same reason I had to sell so many albums! Turned classic vinyl into prams and cots!

It could be worse - you could be the bloke whose girlfriend threw out the wrong bag off the landing - the one bag with 7,200 Bitcoins on a hard drive within it. Straight to a council tip.  Ouch!

Alice Coopers schools out album sleeve was designed like an old style school desk. And the disc was wrapped in a pair of pants. I’ve had this album since it’s release over 50 years ago but honestly can’t remember what I did with the pants😊😊😊😉😉😉.

I understand it was eventually discontinued in this form as the pants were deemed in contravention of fire regulations

His Billion Dollar Babies album cover was great too - it was die-cut into the shape of a wallet, and came with a large folded billion dollar note, amongst other stuff. Top prime Alice music too

Yes, got that one as well. Like the pants, the billion dollar bill has gone missing.

The pants one must be really rare in its complete form. Considering the fact that the album was mostly bought at that time by teenage boys (as I was)you can imagine why not many exist. 😉

A true classic.

Joy-Division-‘Unknown-Pleasures

Below is a real classic for me and have always been a fan of their imagery from the first few singles like Serpents Kiss, Garden of Delight onwards..

Always loved the The Smith album cover's aswell. I have always found it neat when an artist has a consistant theme or style to their covers. Does anyone do that anymore?
