was suggested to me this might be better having its own topic so ....

Next REAL LIFE MEET ...... Sat 14th may will be in https://www.hortsbristol.com/ from 3pm ..... it will be showing the football and has food for those that might be interested .......  if anyone arrives earlier we will be here https://www.bocabar.co.uk/finzels

the gig is Rhythm of the 90s which is currently sold out but there might be a possibility of the odd ticket becoming available  we will probably head there between 7 and 8 ... gig time depending

please dm me if interested or if you require a contact number for the meet up

hope to see as many people there as possible

Don't have a ticket for the gig, and football is not my bag, but would love to come to a meetup at some point!

First-timer, visited Lost Horizon HQ the other day to get my first taste (run by the people that do Shangri-la I believe) seems like a good place for a Glastonbury-oriented Bristol meet up.

Come along anyway … football won’t be everyone’s bag I’m sure there will be plenty not …  if not hopefully we will have one in the future

What's their relationship with SL? I know they do the sauna at Glastonbury and their HQ is Magic Garden in Battersea isnt it?

Apparently, although linked to glastonbury, they're unrelated to the sauna etc. Lost Horizons is the sauna, Lost Horizon HQ is the bar in Bristol, run by the people that do Shangri-la. Or at least that's my understanding.

I’m fairly sure that there are a fair few people coming to Horts that aren’t necessarily into the football. And to be fair that doesn’t start until 4:45 and we’re all getting there for 3 so plenty of time beforehand anyway!

tbh tho why are you going somewhere to watch football?  So many other nice places to go in Bristol and doesn't it kinda defeat the purpose of an efests meetup if half the people are going to be distracted by watching the telly?

Hopefully there's a beer garden there for you anyway - weather is looking to be quite lovely here this weekend!

Finding a venue that upwards of 20 people find meets everyone’s needs is never going to happen …. We’ve listed 2 and as said above football for those that choose to watch it is a tiny proportion of the day … evening/ late afternoon venue is accessible provides food and isn’t a massive distance from the gig …. So that’s where we are . Should be a great day and eve
