Traffic into and out of festival

I know this is very dependent on weather and arrival times….

BUT

For getting into CV East middle of the day Wednesday.

Then leaving CV East Monday morning 8ish.

How long will I be waiting in traffic?

Ideally I’d like the exact times, but I guess I’ll accept ball park answers.

If you asked most people about CV East in 2016 they would be awful, in some cases extraordinary numbers of hours but my getting off site wasn't too bad, although some times once off it can be stationary queues to A roads or motorways. 

Is it crucial?

Thanks. Yes, I think all bets are off if the weather is that bad. 

We have a flight to catch but it’s not until 7pm in Bristol.

How long to get out also depends on where you are parked and how many fields you need to go through to get to the road.  

The best way is to not have any expectations (I must be at x y z by [time]) and ensure you have water and food in the car. If there's a queue pop Worthy FM on, sit back and try not to get too anxious/het up.

Under normal circumstances, I would look to leave CV East by 7am on Monday and be home in Cambridgeshire (200 miles) by early/mid afternoon. That is towing a caravan and stopping at the M3 services (which looks like a Glastonbury refugee camp) for breakfast...

Arriving Wednesday afternoon shouldn’t be a problem if the weather is good.   You should expect minimal delays on A37 and a small queue on Pyle road. Nothing that will cause any heartburn.  

leaving Monday morning is a different story. You can expect a long queue to leave Pyle road and get back on A37. It may take several hours to move the 1-2 miles back to the main road. Once you reach the main road everything is fine. The traffic disperses quickly and the drive to Bristol is calm. 
 

7 pm to Bristol should be fine, especially if you leave on the early side.

‘16 and ‘17 we left CV east around lunchtime and just drove  straight out, no queue nothing. There seems to be a big exodus off site early morning that causes traffic but eases by lunchtime

I need to be back in Essex by 3pm at the latest on the Monday. 

I'm in Bath and West, are there many queues getting out first thing Monday morning? 

Have a trailer tent to pack away, so need to factor that in also.
