Buying booze in Bristol

Were flying down to Bristol on Tuesday night from Glasgow arriving quite late around 11pm. Were staying at the holiday Inn airport and getting the coach from the airport the morning after at 9am.

Any recommendations on where or when to get booze I don't think we will be able to pack into our hold luggage. And not sue if shops would even be open around those times.

My thoughts were to buy vodka at the "duty free" although I realise it won't be a duty free price.

That’s a tricky one. Sounds like you’ll be limited to the shops / duty free in the airport. There’s not much at Bristol airport when walking out and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s closing up around that time but I’m not sure it may be 24hr. Best bet is probably to buy as much as you can from the duty free once you’re through security in Glasgow. Just remember glass is banned on-site. So pack some plastic bottles to decant your spirits in to.

How are you getting from the Holiday Inn at the airport to the festival? Presumably either a taxi or a bus/coach that will take you into Brizzle?

Any chance the hotel will take a delivery of something for you? Not saying a tesco shop, but when i've stopped at hotels for conferences we've had parcels delivered? Other option could be an amazon locker?

where are you getting the coach from exactly? if its literally from the airport to the festival, you're out of luck, the airport is miles from any shops and doesn't have much choice inside.

however, if you're getting a taxi/bus/coach/etc to the bristol bus station from the airport, then the coach from there, then theres a tesco opposite and loads of other shops nearby where you couls stock up

I didn't realise until seeing it in another thread that there are national express coaches straight from the airport to the festival
