Those who have been before what are the clashes usually like? There’s definitely a few on King Tuts and River stage I’d want to see but depends on who we’d potentially miss

They try to make sure they overlap as little as possible.  Last years clashfinder should give a good idea https://clashfinder.com/s/trnsmt2022

So, who's going to this one? Bought the ticket based on the lineup (and visiting Scotland for the 1st time seems like a nice bonus) but then I read up on the impressions from previous years and it looks like the crowds are ... kinda insufferable, especially if you're older?

Going on the Friday, it’s almost 2 festivals in 1, barely see the young team as they’re at the slam tent (or whatever it’s called!).  Might get a bit of crossover with The View, but to be fair 99% of folk are just there for a good time, no trouble 👍

Glad to hear that. It seemed like there were many negative comments about the festival being full of too many rowdy drunk young people. Maybe it was just a Reddit thing. I mean I've been to a fair share of festivals and "drunk young people" is nothing new haha. I won't be sober either 🙂

Definitely doing the Friday of this now. Can actually make a good day of this from the start. Bit of stage hopping before the big four.

The second night is kinda in sight, but I've not done a deep dive in yet, so don't know much of the undercard. That top two is just irresistible though.

I'm guessing there'll be an exodus after George Ezra, so just be prepared for that and get in there.

EDIT: Got a decent priced full weekend ticket. That second stage on the Sunday is worth the bit extra.

This will be my plan. Get the bar and toilets sorted then in just after the Ezra exodus. Any idea on how tickets have shifted for the Friday?

Saturday the only one advertised as near sell out which isn't a massive surprise to me.

The Strokes sold out on the day last year. Probably a good chance it'll be the same for this year for the ones that aren't if THAT did business.

Think people were a bit more keen to go to festivals last year given it was the first big summer of the pandemic. I’m sure it won’t be dead but not expecting a packed site tomorrow.

Given the rain that’s currently hammering down and that there’s a gig in Glasgow Green just now, are we thinking walking boots for tomorrow rather than trainers?

I think it really needs to be boots just incase. Definitely the plan for me. Was thinking of wearing old trainers but I'm not even considering that now.

EDIT: You're probably right about last year. I still suspect the Saturday will definitely go even with that in mind.

Mate there tonight saying it’s very wet but forecast much improved for tomorrow 😎

Plenty of rain during the build so boots for me 👍

I’m 46 and been a couple of times, not had any mither at all. Yeah there’s drunk teenagers around, it’s a festival, but it gets a bit overplayed IMO. There are plenty of older people about, especially late in the day.

Could anyone there tonight let us know if the ground has held up or if it’s going to be a bit swampy for tomorrow. Cheers and enjoy yourselves 🍻

I’ve mostly been floating between King Tut’s and The River stage but it’s surprisingly fine. I went with trainers in the end and that’s been fine, ground is mostly dry at the moment, though if it rains tomorrow it could get muddy pretty quickly.

The main stage feels like a completely different festival. Admittedly I’ve mostly been watching 6music type acts like Cloth, The Big Moon and Warmduscher but the crowd difference when you get closer to the main stage makes me feel incredibly old!
