Leaving Sunday evening/night

Hi all,

Does anybody have experience leaving Sunday evening/night?
Due to working in a school I can’t get the Monday off so I’m arriving Friday evening and leaving Sunday evening/night (gutting I know, but I’m taking a positive and grateful outlook towards the whole thing - at least I have a ticket!)

I’m not sure when to leave on Sunday to get back at a decent time (live in Nottingham so it’s approx a 3.5 hour drive). I’ve never left on the Sunday before so don’t know best time to avoid queues etc. I’m not bothered about missing the Sunday headliner.

I left before the headliners in 2016 ‘cos I had to get home & wanted to leave in daylight in case of any mud disasters given the weather that year.

Absolutely smooth as silk, was out onto the main roads in less than 10 minutes and home (to Newbury at the time) by about 10:30.

If you want a reasonable nights sleep on Sunday night then I’d suggest the same, leave by 9 latest and don’t reckon you’ll have any issues.

Definitely pack everything up Sunday morning & either take to your car ready for a quick getaway, or at least put in a lockup so you can grab it & go.

Fellow teacher. Call in sick mate 👌

Hahaha lots of people have advised that, don’t want to risk it. They’re letting me go a bit early on Friday (so already know I’m going), and I have PPA first thing Monday so hopefully won’t be too bad

Oh well cant be helped.

I think the other poster nailed it. Pack early and do a trip to car. You may find that buy Sunday you can move  your  car a bit closer to the gate which might save some time. If you leave before the headliner you'll have no issues getting out

That’s a good point, might try and move my car closer to the gate when I pack up on Sunday morning.

Do you think I could risk watching half of the Sunday headliner and then leaving?

Yes mate. What gate you parking at? You could watch a bit of kendrick then walk past the other stage and watch psb on way to your car.

If you get packed up and back in before 12 on the Sunday you've still got a full day to enjoy

Not sure how to approach the site, but hoping for gate A or D (the ones on the West side if I remember rightly) as we’ve got friends camping in Oxlyers

From Birmingham, M5 all the way down to Junction 23, then A39 to Glastonbury, then A361 to the car parks.

only time we left Sunday night we watched the Pyramid headliner, had something to eat then got to the car and was offsite pretty quick.

If I was being cautious i'd go with 30 mins left
