Primavera Sound Barcelona 2023 + Primavera Sound Madrid 2023

For those interested in Arthur Verocai's show, he won't be playing in Madrid as he will be playing in São Paulo the following week. I don't know if it will be the same show as Primavera, but here it will be a concert with 30 musicians on stage with an orchestra.

I bet the Auditoria show will also be an orchestra with the self-titled album in full.

Its a real shocker this. I would go see josey rebelle DJ as she is great. 
 

My friends go and they have a hotel right next to site so will just go back chill snack drink etc and go back in but most ppl dont have that option.

i’d see jockstrap, josey and then on to gilla band myself and probably have a sit down!

But to have nothing on other than a dj for 2 hours, then immediately into a 3 way death grips, gilla band, two shell clash is absolutely ridiculous scheduling.

The 5 min gaps look good for seeing lots but its barely time to get a drink or use the toilet (never mind both!) and move to the next stage, whereby you’ll then be at the back if a crowd formed before they started.

NxWorries are on after Turnstile. Anderson .Paak is a very good performer so I would say don't miss that set folks - even if you're not a huge hip hop head.

Has the Prinavera app updated with this year’s timetable yet? Want to sort out my daily plans. Thankfully not too many clashes but the clashes that exist are rough.

I’m sure last year you could select your artists and filter it down to “your timetable”.

 

If not guess I’ll use clash finder.

Same but I do like Yes Lawd! I hope he does some of his own material as well but he probably won't.

The other thing is when I saw him it was all live instruments (Free Nationals), whereas from the 1 or 2 clips online of NxWorries sets it's just Knxwledge on the decks.

what are you watching instead? I also think I'll skip nxworries. I might head to the auditorium for boris but I hope not to lose precious time in a long cue

I am very happy with Liturgy being added. Skipping Caroline Polachek really hurts but a  liturgy + kelela  combination sounds too fun to miss it and works better schedule-wise

Last year (WE1) on Saturday between 11pm an 2 am we got so many great acts (Nick Cave, Gorillaz, Idles, Bauhaus and Diiv!) that it wasn't possible to see them all...and this year we get the worst three hours in the festival's history.

Quick sanity check: PS veterans - how many bands/sets do you usually manage to see on average per day during the weekend (let's assume you're the type who can power through a full night)? Also, do you usually end up seeing less (or more) than what you planned in advance?

anyone think we will get a  fred again x skrillex x fourtet set anywhere? i cant seem to find a place for it unless they all join in on the skrillex set and play into the early hours? not even sure if they are allowed to do that?

I think last year it ended around 10pm.

Statistics for 2017 - 2022

Daily Minimum - 6,5 concerts (2022 - Day 1 a.k.a. waterless mess)

Daily Maximum - 11,5 concerts (2019 - Day 1, 16:00 - 6:00) - in my experience, this is not doable more than once a year

Average - 8 concerts, but I always plan more and narrow it down during the night

I reckon they'll all join on skrillex or maybe even fred again's sets... but don't think it will go on later then their billed sets, but that's just my suspicion. Would explain four tet being on a bit earlier
