Actually it’s still raining on some forecast on the 31st and 1st, but yeah let’s hope it fully normalises in the next few days

My point was not that the forecasters are now saying no rain, it's that when it comes to Barcelona they change rapidly from one extreme to the other (and also generally are too pessimistic in my experience).

On different note, think a petition is about to go up to move someone decent into the same time slot as the Harris/Maneskin abomination.

Sadly didn't get to walk past that part. I only saw the main stages. I'll be going for another run this weekend and will take a quick video of the main entrance as well. I'm feeling very unsure if sitting on the grass while watching a show will be as easy as it was before.

Anyone else having issues with activating their ticket? When I click on "activate ticket" in the Dice app it does not take me to AccessTIcket, I only get a blank screen. Should I contact the AccessTicket support?

Try using a different device, have your dice app open , and use a different device open access app and scan your ticket

Nothing huge.

A couple of small stages on seafront along with previously announced Aperol. Mostly local acts but also The Wedding Present and Japanese Breakfast.

Tems has cancelled.

Boiler room a lot bigger than last year.

Radio PS will be broadcasting from the forum and interviewing, amongst others, Always, Perfume, Sparks and Sudan Archives.

There will be a Benidorm weekender this year. Old gits will like the lineup, which will be announced during PS Bcn/Mad.

Free water but no details.
 
15% approx reduction in capacity, ie 68/70,000 people there, taking into account no-shows. Pretty disingenuous of them to say this will mean we will have more room than last year. Isn't 70k cap bigger than the last pre-sant adria fest? 50k madrid cap.

You absolutely cannot comfortably fit 68/70,000 in the site unless you also use BITS, which was let's not forget about perhaps 40% of the old site by volume. Luckily I don't believe these numbers will play out. It's not sold out and doubt they will fill their target capacity.

Different compnay managing the bars but prices wil be the same as last year is another thing they said on the radio. Also, as the map suggested, the entrance gates have been moved a little down towards the street to allow more room inside the forum area.

Main things I've noticed are -

1. 8 water points

2. More bars than previously by the looks of things

3. The grassy area by the old Primavera stage is now a food/bar/chill out spot

4. The site looks absolutely wedged

5. They've kept the exit in Mordor

Looking at that map , thought putting the boiler room in that VIP area that is next to old primavera stage , and move the VIP area to were that Santander cafe is would make more sense

Now I see the map in this detail, it looks like the Amazon Music stage is significantly bigger than the Ron Brugal sister stage, possibly even similar to the main stage size. 

And it actually makes heaps of sense. Another local festival (Cruilla) uses Forum as their grounds and they actually put their main stage right where the Amazon Music stage is. When you clear out that space it really expands to leave room for a huge crowd. 

I'm happy to see they've at least expanded the site to be closer to the Auditori as that space by the entrance was never really occupied late at night. This should help with the crowding as no acts should be filling out the Amazon Music stage until later in the day and everyone's already in the site. Also no bottlenecking with the crowd like there was with the Primavera/Binance stage.

Overall still very hesitant with this packed out map but I think there'll definitely be a few issues solved. Just hope they've got left a lot more room between Boiler Room and Plenitude.

Also we had a biiiig day of rain in BCN yesterday and it looks like that's cleared the forecast a bit. I still think it's likely we'll see a bit of rain but it'll be clear 90% of the time.
