red___90
Didn't Gabi also say he would not book Beck after he backed out in 2018? Fast forward to 2022 and we got two Beck shows in one edition 😛

xxialac
Binance got hacked today to the tune of $500m and their share price has more than halved in a month. Devastated for them...
Fnmentaluk
Any idea how long tickets are on sale for , in press release says for a limited time. Think this maybe it until next year for lineup. Maybe announced for end of January.

Fuuuuck the king I don’t think lads wait until there’s a public holiday to go on tour! And the festival (50% of last year’s capacity) is likely to be sold out this year. Not sure the lads are that well organised…

xxialac
On the news it talks about "several venues in the capital" hosting a complementary programme. It sounds like the format for the Ciutat will be somewhere in the middle of the low key, single venue pre-pandemic gigs and the surprisingly big names doing these shows across a tonne of venues.

According to Dice ticket details: Both locations will also run different complementary activities during the days coming up to the festival, from Monday to Wednesday and the closing Sunday (from Monday 29th May in Barcelona and from Monday 5th June in Madrid) to fully integrate the festival into the city. xxialac
US musicians are cancelling tours to the UK because of the weak pound. The Euro hasn't weakened as badly as the pound has against the dollar but it's still quite a long way down from a year ago, making it harder for Primavera to attract US bands. Skipping the UK is one thing. Big thing, but doable. Not touring at Europe at all (or any Euro based country)? I dont see it happening. As long as PS are on the same boat as any other european festival or venue, I dont think it's a big deal. US bands will not perform only in America/Asia 1

Nonetheless Animal Collective have just cancelled their tour over the pond (and more than half the shows were in the EU).
BenG92
Damn, that's awful to read. And a band like Animal Collective too, not exactly huge but very loved and respected.

I hope that, in addition to the A La Ciutat programme in the city, that BCN brings back the free gig at the Forum on the Wednesday. The demand to get into things like Wet Leg this year was enormous, so opening the FORUM a day early for those (if it's possible) makes sense IMO. One or two slightly confused British lads near me, most of the other Brits nearby cheered along, to be fair.

BenG92
Yeeeeah I love Wu Tang but they're a karaoke act live. Every time I watch one of their solo shows they show up late and wasted and it's only good because of the crowd atmosphere and hype men.
