Alvvays 100% going to be there.
Other strong predictions on undercards?

Swans (?) Phoebe Bridgers (?) Fever Ray (yes) FKA Twigs (yes) Beth orton (yes) Lucrecia Dalt (yes) Sudan Archives (yes) ...

Don't get why Kendrick Lamar is predicted... he has just toured Europe extensively.

Yes, but has only done Glastonbury recently in terms of festivals. It's fairly common to do well received arena tour > festival headlines in the space of an album cycle, and he would be a big ticket seller.

For extra undercard I'd be surprised if Feist, Young Fathers, Mount Kimbie, Forest Swords, maybe Floating Points aren't there based on new/forthcoming releases.

I don't think PS would book the main Glastonbury headliner from the previous year though. They care about trend-setting and being among the first to show a certain act. For other, victory lap-kind of bookings (like Rosalia) it could work. Not for your main two/three ticket-sellers

Osees/Oneohtrix/Ty Segall/A Place To Bury Strangers would be good but I'd be a little disappointed if they were re-booking some of those other artists who were there last year.

I think there's gotta be a chance of some overlap, given they had two varied line ups last year. Not totally different for sure, but plenty of acts on weekend 2 in particular would have made sense for 2023 - Phoenix and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs have released albums since, for instance.

Not that I expect either of those there, just that a lot of acts will be touring hard to make up for lost time during the pandemic, and a lot of delayed albums etc have been released since so there'll be more overlap between the 2022 and 2023 touring calendars than in previous two year cycles, I'd guess.

Anyway, heard the new Young Fathers on 6 Music this morning again. Fingers crossed they are there. Love those guys.

War on drugs announced European tour starts 8 jun , but starts in Oslo on the Thurs then Warsaw on Mon, .both of a trek to play Madrid.

Bon Iver announced 2 gigs jun 8 and 10 in Scandinavia.

Caught him recently in dublin. sound and lights amazing, best I've seen. Setlist lacking a bit.

Not playing then surely.

They'll be at the end of an album cycle too, which is more of a Mad Cool-type of booking.

The National played this year and were gonna be at the tail end of the IAETF tour if they did play in 2020. Not sure it matters, the dates are lining up.

Seems like a lot of stuff is getting ruled out or is 'difficult' for both weekends; Pulp, Peter Gabriel, War On Drugs and now perhaps Bon Iver. Not much getting ruled in. Makes it more interesting though.

Add that to Arctic Monkeys being busy and Nine Inch Nails seemingly not touring and that’s a few acts who seemed like obvious contenders now looking unlikely. Most festivals haven’t announced much yet and there’s still plenty of acts who haven’t announced anything who could pop up (Rosalia, Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Massive Attack, Bjork etc) but it’ll be very interesting to see who they have.

A month ago no one thought we'll get Depeche Mode. Who knows what other surprises are coming
