Primavera Sound Barcelona 2023 + Primavera Sound Madrid 2023

Things that could be considered rumours to me are anything thats touring near PS and has no dates that make PS impossible., but i don't mind a further reaching speculations and appreciaté @Fabrizzos list. 

Currently I'd say, there are few bands that fulfill the "rumours" category, with many Acts touring in June already ruled out by other dates. 

 

Many festivals have yet to confirm anything, and those that have, don't yeat list many bands that make sense at PS. Between Rock am Ring, Pinkpop, Werchter and Roskilde I only see a handful bands that would make a rumour, fe. Denzel Curry, Turnstile, Death Grips, Rina Sawayama, Soul Glo, Christine and the Queens and Hudson Mowhawke

I agree, this year the organizers have been really good at not leaking anything👍

The list is a lot of fun and even if every act is wrong, it's a great way of passing the long months of waiting. That's why we all have an account on a forum about festivals right?

I'd say far too many huge acts though - I reckon day 2 would be the most expensive day in Primavera history. Also Death Grips would be sub headliner level.

Keep in mind that they need to sell double the number of tickets with the Madrid edition, and at a significantly higher price. They better have something big ready with the headliners, although I admit that maybe the whole thing with those 2nd lines and undercards is a bit too much 😅

The Primavera a la Ciutat is mentioned in the poster, with it's line up is no listed there (as in 2022 final posters)

Enormous critical acclaim, spending three years making 11 albums and carefully cultivating a cult of mystery, whilst missing out on all touring income…only to finally play live and get tiny-fonted.

The second lines are a bit massive, yep, luckily we'll have the half of it. But the headliners are more or less what we can expect, Maybe Travis Scott instead of Kendrick or Lil Nas X, or maybe PJ Harvey or FKA Twigs instead of Lana del Rey or Björk.. but more or less I think it would look smth like that 😉

My ultimate headliner prediction, considering that we usually tend to predict too big stuff and that some more commercial names are unavoidable: 

BJORK - BLUR - SZA

DEPECHE MODE - ROSALIA -BURNA BOY (he doesn’t makes sense to me but he’s just too likely being around at that time and having being booked by roskilde. I hope he’s not booked ) 

TRAVIS SCOTT - LCD SOUNDSYSTEM - CHRISTINE AND THE QUEENS (sub-headliner upgraded)

They generally didn't in the past unless they were a friend of the festival, but after the pandemic artists are extending touring cycles much longer – a lot of the ones already announced for festivals next year are on their second year of touring and their profile has raised significantly since last summer. So I'm almost certain there'll be a couple of repeats.

Calas Mijas already has them and in August.
