18 degrees + rain = mud = no sitting down for 5 days

I'd rather it be 18 & dry. No doubt.

But I will sit, regardless of the weather. There are places to sit & if you are wet anyway, sitting in a bit of mud means nowt, you are not gunna get any wetter, so sit anyway.

This is mental! Sit in the mud and then get mud everywhere else in your tent, nothing worse than having to spend 5 days in wet, muddy clothes and then consequently having to sleep in a wet, muddy bed

There's no way that little blob of low pressure in the Irish sea on the Tuesday survives and merges with the Northern pressure system causing this shitshow. The model is f**ked, anyone could tell you that.

Mate, I struggle to tell folk my birthday so I have no chance.

If its raining, some put on Waterproofs. Thry dont keep them on in the sleeping bag... they take them off

So if they are muddy. Thry would still take them off.

As said, dry is 100% preferable.

Plus, I am not talking about going knee deep in lying caked in it. You do need to be selective on where you sit, but a bit of mud doesnt bother me

Just take some bin bags and rip along the side and end and open it up. Got a big waterproof matt to sit on and you can fold it up so the mud stays on the inside and put it in your bag for next time, takes up very little space. Obviously if its chucking it down this isn't going to work but after its stopped raining this is perfect. If the ground is a bit soft it even moulds to your shape of your buttocks
