Avalon_Fields
It was a stunning day atop the West Pennine Moors today. Walked for miles, good practice. No sign of threatened thunder storms.

Stood outside in the yard for a bit getting soaked through and listening to Lizzo and can confirm it was still a good time. (Helped that I knew I could step inside and get changed at a moment's notice, but still.) So I learned not too long ago that the delightful smell you get when it rains after being boiling hot (I assume from the rain hitting the hot floor but who knows) is called Pretichor. And it's both my favourite word and smell. But for Glastonbury purposes I hope we don't encounter it.

And apparently it's a smell than humans are particularly good at smelling, which is unusual because our sense of smell is usually pretty rubbish. Couldn’t swap them so had to give them up. Most heartbreaking decision (most people will know how much it would have KILLED me!!!) Oh no I’m really sorry that really sucks 😏. I never really considered going into Labour tbh but we are in a car.

Sheffield Steve
The GFS midnight run is not backing away from its wet theme. Still too far away and the situation is complicated so no detail can be relied upon. We need to see the other models come into range of setup day in the next 24 hours to look for agreement. Rain for Wednesday: and plenty for Thursday: a dry day Saturday, and then some more in time for Elton on Sunday night: more runs needed….. Just enough to make the grass damp. Yesterday the sprinkle lasted 10 mins and dried as soon as it hit the ground
JoeyT
I’ve consciously avoided religiously checking the weather charts / this thread so far this year. But I am massively looking forward to the next week in here. Officially strapping in for the rollercoaster.
squirrelarmy
It’s the Tuesday that is standing out for me. Weather is looking tolerable for most of the full week, should hopefully be similar to last year. The predicted half inch of rain on Tuesday won’t be much fun for the campervanners but based on the ground condition threads we’re going to need some moisture to help get the tent pegs in. This current weather is going to break at some point and if it is going to rain it’s better if it’s before the majority of people arrive on site.
