CaledonianGonzo
People say they want a warm sunny Glastonbury? But check out the surface temperature on the planet Mercury. Having a scorcher of a festival doesn't seem so appealing now does it? 🤣🤣🤣

I dont have issues in the cold. At all. I go watching Oldham Athletic every week. Anyone who's ever been to Boundary Park will tell you it's not the warmest... I cant remember the last time I wore a jumper / hoodie under my coat to a game. Even in minus temps, I'd be too hot. I am never cold. The meme of a bloke in shorts in the snow... that's me. But what about when your body temperature increases during exercise? How do you manage in a sweaty gym / football pitch / studio?
stopwn1981
It makes sense the sun hasn’t come out in Oldham since about 1954
Sheffield Steve
The midnight run of the GFS is not keen on keeping it dry. This is the sequence from Wednesday to Friday festival week. Rain close to our west which it brings in overnight Thurs/Fri. Quite light rain though. Far too early for this kind of detail but shows the potential for wet is there…. No sign of an Azores finger. Running hands under a cold tap for ages brings me out of it. Unfortunately that isnt an option at the festival.
CaledonianGonzo
In all seriousness have you discussed said panic attacks with your GP? They may be able to suggest some things.

Ayrshire Chris
Normally don’t believe anything I see in the Express and as it’s pile of shite but I’d be happy if the story just under the banner is true!

My nephew has issues, at 8 year old he was taken home from school cos he fainted. My sister cant stand it... My dad loves the heat. Not sure about the milkman, I'll ask my mum. Unfortunately if its hot, just got to deal with it. Pay your money, take your chance. It'll just be survival mode rather than enjoyment for 5 days. Harry3
If the temperatures creep up to around 30 I would seriously consider not going. 20-25 sounds alright though.

On the Sunday, I was determined to enjoy myself & in fairness I did. Sober though. Packed up early on Sunday morning cos there is no way we could have woken up there on the monday. It was rancid. Saw hardly any acts that year. In fact I didnt see anything on the Saturday before Muse.
NotAnInsider
If you look at the postage stamps there is still shed loads of uncertainty around rain at the moment. Pretty much all the models are suggesting a high to the southwest with a low to the north of it. If that's the case it's likely to be average temperatures with a mix of sunshine and showers depending on exactly where that high and low sit. If that comes true we'll struggle to predict with any accuracy the detail of any showers and precisely where they'll fall, even on the day. There was one morning last year where I got a text from a mate at Bath and West saying it was chucking it down, and it did for an hour or so, but over on the main site it stayed dry with a nice rainbow. Some people in here are well melodramatic. I know the diversity is what makes the weather thread rollercoaster so fun, but the 'woe is me' narrative at the thought of an average normal sunny day is getting a bit boring. I'm starting to wonder if people are doing it on purpose as a kind of reverse psychology thing for the weather gods now. 24c is not a heatwave ffs 🤣🤣

Some people just have a different feeling to you. If it rains, I hope you feel the same & dont moan about it. As said, pay your money - take your chance. Its a festival in Summer. Yeah, and apparently the opposite happened when there was that thunder shower in 2014(?) that shut everything down - totally fine elsewhere in the local area.
