06Z forecasting plague of locusts on Tuesday PM followed by strong pressure on the Wednesday. Worst of all it's only going to be 22 degrees. This is a disaster.

So is the danger here not the low pressure itself- which is up north of Ireland - but the fact that South England is in the zone between the competing pressure systems?

Basically, if you are on one of the lines you will likely be on a weather system.

Pasty ginger Irish fella checking in here.  Used to be a case that just seeing a half decent weather forecast on the telly would give me sunburn, but now I'm older and more sensible, I don't mind hotter weather. As long as I use plenty of sunscreen I'm usually sound.

The 6z GFS continues the theme it’s had for a few days now.   Not good at all.  Significant rain every day except perhaps the Sunday.

Wednesday rain:

Thursday rain:

Friday rain:

Saturday rain:

 

It’s giving us much more rain than the ECMWF at this stage.  But who will be right?  More runs needed…
