Obviously great result for Liverpool, but also for football.

Maybe the over the top praise of Utd will finally cease.

You humiliated us mate.

United have done well this season, I don't think any of its over the top. Top 4 and a trophy was united's aim this season and we are course to complete that objective. Just one of those days today and it can happen, brush ourselves off and move on and upwards.

Looks like liverpool could make a push for top 4 now, Can not see a faltering Spurs and Newcastle stopping you to be honest. Especially as you really only the top 4 to aim for after madrid.

If Liverpool win their other game in hand then they will be top four

Yeah spurs being spurs again. There liverpool's only competition. Newcastle will be scraping for 7th or 8th and can not see Fulham or Brighton putting to much competition.

Liverpool getting it together at the right time.

To be fair we were playing a team who get past the half way line.

Give us a little credit for last weekend - we weren't terrible until the penalty area, and then that's where it all fell to shit.

But yeah, given how we've been limping for a few weeks, I'd take 6th if offered now tbh.

Would be surprised as Liverpool/Brighton/Fulham are getting results on a weekly basis. Although you have a decent run in March and April to get a Europa place.

We've drifted into a fight, and given we still have to play Brighton, Brentford, Man Utd and Spurs, one we're gonna have to buck up for. Or at least score some fucking goals.

Worst part of today was Bruno asking to be subbed, he was Captain for goodness sake. Can not Imagine Bryan Robson or Roy Keane doing that. Disgraceful.

I didn't see that but Jesus Christ. There were moments last season when Bruno Fernandes gave off a fairweather player vibe who often puts in bad traits when things aren't going his way, but to see the captain down tools like that is quite something, and not in a good way.

Totally agree. He has major points from united fans last few years, but for me that is not on. Be interesting how Ten Hag deals with the situation.

He is a great player but when things get tough he can be a bit of a disgrace. He had a couple of bad dives, kept flinging his arms up in the area and stropping but the worst one of all for me was when Bajcetic went by him, he just stopped. Didn't even bother jogging back at least, nothing. Hope EtH drops him for the next game as punishment.

On us... we're seem to be finding some form now, not conceded in 5 PL games (though we've been lucky not to in some of those). From memory we have a pretty tough run coming up soon though which will pretty much decide where we finish in the table.

Spurs do have a relatively easier run to Liverpool, with only United and Liverpool of the top sides to play.

I mean, they also have a trip to St James' Park and historically have an inconsistent record up there. But equally, Spurs have also recently lost to Wolves and Leicester and are still yet to shake their "Doctor Tottenham" reputation (or just being nicknamed Spursy) in bottling it in random places.

Fulham are still in this tbf, even with the loss at Brentford yesterday (and a question mark on whether Ivan Toney should have been playing given he's likely about to get a long ban). Though Brighton look like the best bet of the 3 behind the top six I think ot make it.

Fulham have played 3 more than Brighton, 2 more then Brentford. Although would be good if one of those 3 clinched a European place.

4. Liverpool

5. Spurs

6. Brighton

7. Newcastle

Would be my guess.

Although Newcastle need to turn it around quick, bottom of last 6 form table.
