Derby hotel advice for shuttle use

What hotel would you advise to book for next year to use the shuttle bus from the train station every day?

City centre ones. Shuttle bus goes from outside the main rail station so anything in the main centre or near the rail station works.

I'm guessing this is an old question, given the date it was originally posted, but since it's been revived I thought I'd weigh in for future reference. 

Obviously there's Aston Court Hotel, The Stuart Hotel and a few others at Derby station

For city centre hotels, try and stay bus station side (Riverlights) of the city as it's an easier walk to the railway station. So Holiday Inn Riverlights or Premier Inn Riverlights are good options.

Almost any hotel on Pride Park is also within 10 - 15 mins walking distance of the station.

There's some nice little B&Bs, like The Maryland, along London road, which is the road that the Skylink takes out of Derby. The Blue Jay Derby is a Marstons Pub and Hotel which is within walking distance of London Road too. There's Also the Portland House Hotel at Derby Conference centre, also on London road very close to a stop.

Use the download shuttle bus that runs from the station, Skylink were truly dreadful last year.
