Missing glastonbury coach due to funeral

I'm unable to make my coach on Weds as I will be attending a grandparent's funeral. SeeTicket's seem unable to help and have said to get in touch on the day if i miss the coach. I am certain I will miss it, so wondering if anyone has had experience with this? Can the tickets be picked up by a friend? Could my partner go to the coach on my behalf to pick up the ticket for me and I make my own way down on thurs or fri?

I'd send your partner with some I.d for you, her I.d and a signed letter from you explaining why you've had to miss it and nominating your partner to collect it for you. The driver is human, if he has any heart at all it won't be a problem.

Nothing to lose, if it doesn't work you contact See as requested.

But I'm a first timer, never used the coaches, and wouldn't have a clue.

From my experience they normally just hand in the tickets to the ticket office but that's not the official policy so is a bit of a risk. I would try and get in contact with See and explain the situation and see what they say.

I wouldn't bother with that bit tbh, people have ever said that they've been handed to someone on the coach, or left at the box office, but not heard of them handing to someone else before the journey under any circumstances and of course with over 20,000 people on coaches each year there are a lot of exceptional circumstances.

@questionneedanswering do you have a friend who is going on the coach anyway and if unsuccessful could go to the box office?  If not why not just do what they suggested and get in touch on the day?

My understanding was that his partner was booked onto the same coach, with the a ticket amongst the same order... Reading his post again though, I see that was purely an assumption.
