Everyone seems to be saying the same 3 headliners ... are they all looking really likely?

Say the same names enough and its all anyone will believe til its totally different. Same thing happened with the secret sets this year and you just kept seeing Green Day being mentioned online which carried over to the festival in real life and just the chatter amongst people.

Man we are all going to have egg on our faces when the Eavi book him to headline. The Eavi simply have no choice but to book him as a headliner because he’s really big in South America. They have no choice! It is inevitable. Like death and taxes.

In fairness, according to your standard logic of commercial success, that would be true.

Like this.

If I were to change things around:

Swap PJ Harvey and London Grammar, she's way too big for that park I'd say.

Halsey would be a pretty dead Other Stage headliner? Pretty sure most of the Glastonbury crowd wouldn't know who she is.

Sigur Ros wouldn't come back and play the park I don't think, they played JP last time and by the 2023 festival they should have a new album out. I reckon fleet Foxes would be a better headliner for the Park

Trying to think of young appealing female act who can headline the other stage that would be happy to headline the other stage and not demand something more is a tough job.

Halsey has played the festival before and I’d say she’s a notch bigger than a Christine & The Queens type. She’s also a pretty established festival headliner across the world so she’s definitely give it a good go.

It’s the “not for me but thinking what would be good for others” prediction 😉

Good effort. Think The Smile will headline Park one night though

Would two door cinema club headling the other since they have a new album out

Unlikely to get the bump up. They did finsbury in 2018 and got other sub, did it in 2022 and will likely get other sub again. Or maybe shift to another stage but headline it.

Based on the trend of booking the Australian acts of the moment (Amyl & the Sniffers, Confidence Man, Courtney Barnett) I think there's a good chance Genesis Owusu and The Chats get booked next year.

Get Spacey Jane onboard too

Not sure they're of the moment or the kind of acts they book these days. They should definitely book Gang of Youths though.

What do you mean by 'of the moment'?

DMAs popped up on the festival circuit this summer and Sticky Fingers have released a tour for next year including a date at Ally Pally.

I think I'd actually be pretty surprised if DMAs weren't on the lineup tbh

Also, Rosalia isnt allowed cause she doesnt sing in english. Thats a no go for the good ol boys.

Why the ridiculous insinuation? If Rosalia isn't headlining the Other Stage (or any other major stage) it isn't because of her language, it's because she isn't known very well here. I don't think she's had any hits in the UK.

He's really talking about Bad Bunny. But you're right, she hasn't had any UK hits (neither has Bad Bunny), they've actually had extremely similar UK chart success - both only charted on singles that they were featured on, and both got albums that Broke top 75.

For what it's worth, I think Rosalia is infinitely more likely to get booked than Bad Bunny, because she's a quality and versatile act and he puts out nonsense. Neither will be headlining a glasto stage now or any time in the future though.
