Suspect I will stick to The Other though annoying to miss Alvvays and Lottery Winners Oh God I didn’t see Lottery winners there! 😂 I think Alvvays will lose out for me too. I can see most of NBT and Janelle, whereas Alvvays kind of straddle both. I’m 100% going to see Blondshell, that’s a great album, so I may finish up watching Newdad as Woodsies-Park-Woodsies is a bit of a trek. Pleased to see The National getting 90 minutes too. Beerqueen
Seems like CarHenge is going to be a waste of time again. Well, maybe 15 minutes in passing. But really?

Some horrendous indie and repeat performers sprinkled in there. Like, trolling us with it. Amazed that I can't find one single thing to properly cling onto. Yeah, that's fair. A question to you and other regular attendees. Overall festival experience aside, does this full lineup make you reconsider committing to buying a ticket in October regardless of knowing who's on the lineup? CaledonianGonzo
The Janelle Monae / Avril Lavigne clash was always inevitable, but sucks seeing it there in black and white.

Much respect to Joe Rush - but carhenge is emblematic of the costsaving thats going on in the bg at Worthy Farm. A very poor option vs Williams Green which many of us loved. Think we will catch The K’s and NewDad at Woodsies and then over to James. Agree re Blondshell and would have liked to see them but Mr C really wants to see James and since he generally goes along with whatever I want to see I may need to let him have one choice 🤣

Its personal taste end of the day. My best ever year at glasto i saw 16 acts, this years ill see 12 but late night theres alot more on id see so it evens out. Re: THIS line-up specifically, then no. i know i always bang on about not caring about the line up, and to a large extent i do stand behind that statement - but i do find it annoying that the festival seems to want to become basically a five day version of "Wireless Festival"... there seems to be less and less variation in the music on offer - even the dance stuff seems to be blending into a beige sea of blandness. the reason i still love it is because i know i can find somewhere where it still feels like its 1994... and for just a short time it can be the good ol' days again. the time comes to reconsider commiting to buying a ticket when i sit back and think - is that worth the huge f**king cost of it all.

Yeah I feel like dance music fans are spoiled for choice in terms of current-ness, emerging DJs and old favourites. In terms of bands, we’re not so lucky. Unless you’re genuinely excited about seeing Frank Turner for the 150th time or stopped listening to music sometime around the 2010s. I know there’s a tendency to have to be super positive but - The Zutons?! Paloma Faith? Avril Lavigne? Coldplay? It’s like an XFM compilation CD from my GCSE days. EDIT: Its especially galling when you see smaller, one day festivals in and around the UK / Europe have much better line ups. Jai Paul is playing in a park near my house this summer, why isn’t he on The Woodsies or something? Edited June 4 by kugglaw

Overall festival experience aside, does this full lineup make you reconsider committing to buying a ticket in October regardless of knowing who's on the lineup? I've got to admit, this lineup is the most lacklustre I've seen in my whole time going to Glastonbury and there's nobody on the upper end of the lineup on any of the main stages that I'm particularly excited about seeing. But that's quite liberating. And, like I always say, you can only be in one place at a time, and if you can't find anything you enjoy for every minute you're there you're not looking hard enough. The main result for me has been listening to the new bands/guitar acts on the line up and finding things like Blondshell, Newdad, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Lime Garden, The Ks etc. There’s loads of good new stuff out there. 1

In isolation, no as I'm expecting a return to form next year. If lineups this poor became a pattern, then it absolutely would.

Had I known the lineup PLUS the fact that the week has turned into something fairly significant for one of my children then we would have skipped this year yes. It doesnt stop me turning up and working each year but we would have had a year off if thats possible to still keep our place.

There happens to be more I’ll personally enjoy this year than there’s typically been the last few festivals. The nonsense that this is in any way a ‘weak’ lineup because it doesn’t meet the tastes of a certain noisy online demographic won’t stand up to scrutiny. Take a look back at the footage when it’s over and tell me there’s any noticeable change in crowd enjoyment. People just want something to moan about. 2
