Looking at the APE poster APE is a UK exclusive.

Looking at last years APE lineup and there was pretty much no crossover at all.  

Noel Gallagher, George Ezra and Lewis Capaldi not being there has really surprised me.  The pool is certainly getting smaller now but hopefully we’ll get more of an indication once Truck and Tramiles are announced in the next week or so. 

For me… I suppose we have to look at the likes of Kasabian, Jamie T, Biffy Clyro, The Prodigy, Snow Patrol Ermm…. Sure there’s more but I’m going blank.

prodigy are out on a exclusive term, biffy would be a pretty decent get if they are about. could see them at Connect as well or APE, which then may rule them out!

I am sceptical about that Prodigy exclusive tbf, but they’re probably still not here!

as jk doesnt do it for me ,i may go and see strokes on friday and do fest sat /sund ,even though have full fest ticket.

Yeah, having Jamiroquai on that day when you know The Strokes are at APE sucks. Will be even worse if the rest of that days lineup is also poor. Hoping, we get a good Friday Castle headliner to lessen the blow or a strong undercard.

I will seriously be upset if APE also end up with Flo on the Saturday.

I’m not a JK fan but my mate saw them last year in Spain and said they were a huge surprise - although in fairness - it’s not the strokes is it 

 

shame they are exclusive as I hoped they’d be at victorious as soon as I saw the poster

I think anyone thinking that Victorious could get the strokes was probably only kidding themself, they aren't cheap!

Opposite end of the festival season but could anyone appear from here? The Hives, Tom Walker, Black Honey, or even Two Door as a headliner?

Well Crawlers are there so guessing some of the others could be. Some nice little fillers.  Be nice if Tom Walker was there as the mrs likes him

At the moment ... for me it's way down on what we had last year ... they really need to go all guns blazing to get 2 big'gish headliners to sell this... from Stereophonic, Paolo N, Sam Fender to Jay K... going to be very hard to top last year but so far not much is getting my juices going... personally I'd be going all out to get Wolf Alice ... never headlined a festival as far as I can remember??  Get the cheque book out and give them the stage they deserve...

They did Latitude in 2021, probably some others too

I think if they want to keep growing how they are they should be looking a bit bigger than say Wolf Alice or Two Door

tbf I’d argue Jamiraqoui is the same size as Paolo and even Sam before he blew up! (Nobody really expected that). Wolf Alice are a strange one, everyone thought they’d push on to headliner level and then nothing (I love them btw).

Let’s hope the next announcement suits your tastes.  Personally I can’t see past Kasabian as 1 of the next headers

Every gig they (WA) play or get reviewed for it's top notch... probably one of the stand out slots last year at Glasto and Reading and all you read is that they deserve the headline notch... I'd be very very happy to have the 2022 Brit Group of the Year and can't see how we should be looking `bigger'??

Regarding Fender had been watching him the past 3 or 4 years.. saw him 4 times before Vicky last year... that bloke has always had the world at his feet... I will say I thought he looked knackered last year and was probably his less energetic gig I have seen from him and the boys... too be expected I suppose??

The Reytons could be in the same situ' as exploding on the scene... they are playing it superbly at the moment and their spot last year at Vicky was one of the highlights... would love to see them back.

Anyway I suppose it's a case of watching this space...

When you’re talking about a better indication from truck and tramlines, do you mean in terms of acts being shared with victorious or ruled out? 
 

I’m hoping for a curveball from somewhere.  Struggling to think of big potential acts I’ve not seen that could play. But at the same time would be happy to rebook some from the 2018 line up which was my fave/first year.  Weller, The Cribs, Gaz Coombes, Sleeper, Chris Helme and Shed 7 to name but a few.  Not hard to spot my era is it 🤣 Reckon there’s potential for a few of them

Yeah those acts shared between the 2.  There’s normally a headliner that has a big crossover between the festivals.  Kendall is announced tomoz so that’ll offer some clues
