Victorious Festival 2023 Discussion

Looks like Tramlines have sent out some acts to people who signed up to their mailing list, and all but confirmed:

Courteeners, Blossoms, Richard Ashcroft, Kaiser Chiefs, Sugababes and Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott

Sugababes and Courteeners obviously out but all of the other acts seem viable

why are courteeners out? top of my list to see!

we wont get blossoms as only played 2 years ago

Think it’s Sugababes and Blossoms obvs out.  The rest can all play unless I’ve missed something

Some smaller acts will overlap but not major acts like a sub-headliner

Generally there’s hardly more than 1 or 2 that cross over from IOW and Reading & Leeds to Victorious.

I reckon Ashcroft and Heaton & Abbott could be there but neither will headline outright.

I’m aiming for the return of Weller, if not The Who… shoot for the stars n all that! 🤣

I’m sure Steve Craddock has played every year I’ve been.  Defo with Ocean Colour Scene, The Specials and Weller, so expect to see him again.  Reckon he must be fairly local so a nice gig for him.

I think, I would take almost anybody on the Castle over JK. The other stages headliners would need to be pretty bad before I considered seeing Jamuiroquai as a good use of my time. Just hoping they do not pop up at any other festivals I go to.

Agreed, jamiroquai not my bag and a bugger to try and spell!!

Totally expecting Ashcroft or someone similar on castle stage to balance it out.  It would be shite if we ended up with 2 bands we loved competing against each other, so every cloud n that… and I’d sooner be at the castle than the common anyway 

announcement due in next couple of weeks I guess/hope
