Rock Werchter 2023

June festivals are quite good imho. Download is cool, Rock for People also. RaR/RiP is yet to announce remaining 2 heads, assuming one of them is Metallica it's going to be quite strong too.

I think I'll pass RW, started to consider NOS Alive despite RHCP.

Btw, I thought Sziget to be average but it looks much better after R&L announcement:-)

In what seems like a surprisingly unpopular move here - bought my RW ticket! Missing Blur is a bummer (maybe I'll catch them at the Lowlands?), but overall I think it's shaping to be a fantastic lineup for me. Even RHCP would be a nice opportunity, haven't seen them since 2012.

I remember a discussion earlier in the thread about the need for a big name alongside Muse for Saturday. Seeing as I must proclaim prior ignorance to their work, are Oscar and the Wolf a big name in Belgium?

Yes, they're Belgian, and they're big in European festivals in general. I saw them perform 3 times (not in festivals tho) and I think it's one of the most entertaining shows I've seen. It's the best party of the year, every year.

60€ for a festival day ticket with Blur as a headliner. Still possible in 2022 then.

Not expecting a lot in terms of undercard but grabbed my ticket without a shadow of a doubt.

On an another note : Not a fan of Christine and The Queens at all, but the overall reactions on socials are frightening. You start to get why Werchter is going for the same RHCP/AM/Pearl Jam acts every year.

Grabbed mine too. No way I am going to miss this. Blur in front of 15K fans is going to be legendary.

It reminds me the Blink 182 show at the same festival in 2015. It was insane and felt so small for that band. Could imagine the same for Blur, with still decent acts to join them on that day!
