Skelts
I wouldn’t worry about the toilets. As has been said in the toilets thread, the festival is actually known for it’s clean and well maintained toilets and last year was a blip. I’ve been several times, including last year, and can confirm this. As for the festival itself, it’s a great place for family and kids, plenty for them to do and get involved with. It has a really chilled feel about it, there’s no arena, once you’re in, you’re in, just like the big G and you can bring your own booze to drink anywhere on site. Personally the line up this year is great, if it’s up your street, go for it. Don’t be put off by the toilet situation last year.
spg
This is probably my favourite festival (glastonbury is a beast that I love, but in a different way). BD's is just the right size, excellent music/stages, easy site layout, great food etc. Plenty for kids to enjoy and crafting etc too. The toilet situation, I have no doubt, will be back to normal service this year. Last year was a tough one, and turdii where hard to find (covid and suppliers going bust through no business) Have a look at the photo galleries and reviews https://www.efestivals.co.uk/festivals/beautifuldays/2021/galleries.shtml

ShuMart
I've been taking my kids now since they have been 1, it's a wonderful festival to take your kids to. Small festivals are soo much easier than the likes of Glastonbury. Having dealt with how busy Glasto was this year I'm really looking forward to how easy BD will be! Me too, today one is seven years old and the other seven, but he still finds great pleasure in it. I also find the small festivals better than the big ones. It's less noisy and I have my eyes more easily on my children.
