thinking about going next year (from scotland) and we have gone to kendal past couple years. is it a similar festival in things to do and the usual headliners? or is there a better lineup in terms of not the usual suspects?

Sometimes some overlap, YNOT usually manage to pull out a pretty inspired undercard though, even if the headliners are sometimes a bit 'meh', quite often they get a lot of fun indie/alternative acts on the rise - great little festival too, would recommend!

Yeah, Fender is certainly too big for Y Not now. I think Royal Blood and Noel Gallagher are decent shouts.

I kind of expect Noel to do quite a few of these sort of events

Yeah same here, I reckon there will be a lot of overlap once again between these sorts of festivals.

For those who have been or know that sort of stuff. Do you know when Y Knot announces its lineup? Do they have a traditional month etc, any chance its this side of Christmas?

Last year was 4th November. This, Truck and Tramlines all typically announce in November with Victorious in December

Seems fallen into line with other Super Struct owned Festivals Tramlines, Truck, Victorious and Kendal Calling. 

Read on the Tramlines post they are struggling to book acts and shopping at a lower level for Headliners. 

My lad has tickets for both Y Not and Tramlines not realising Super Struct had bought Y Not, so may end up seeing the same lower end line up twice.

They put on socials the other day that the lineup will be coming in the new year - is the same with the other fests of a similar size too I believe.
