Hi, long time so see.
Last visit to the farm was 2019 where I spent the entire weekend wishing my daughter was with me. Fast forward to next year and if I'm lucky to get tickets I will be having to decide whether to bring a 5 year old and 15 month old, or whether my husband and I just need to get shit faced.

Good luck for Thursday and Sunday everyone!

Welcome back and good luck in the sale.

Anyone got new links for the booking page? 😎

They won't be new links.

what's the consensus on using university Wi-Fi for the ticket sale? Would you still run into issues with the refresh limit if other people are trying on the same network or should it be fine?

There is no definitive proof or evidence that shared connections are or are not at risk - although certain tests have shown they *could* be.

Avoid it if you can....use a 4G hotspot of your own.

Hotspot your phone? There's works on cables here on Thursday morning... If disaster occurs I guess I can work late at the office but that won't be a thing if it's Sunday sale after all...

Thankfully it's back on now, albeit the WiFi booster isn't working now so I can't have peace and quiet to work in the spare bedroom, but at least it's back in order now.

This week is shorter due to today being a bank holiday in Germany, so luckily by the time I get back to work tomorrow, it'll go quickly until the coach sales.

Fingers crossed nothing else buggers up now.

That’s always the fear, I pad as backup with enough data transferred from phone. I also connect PC to hub with an Ethernet cable .

The thing about tablets, I'm even more fearful of fat-fingering the wrong number and fudging the whole thing. I'll be loaded up on a laptop with one tab in Chrome, one in Chrome Incognito, one in FireFox, and one in Brave. Plus my phone, my wife's tablet too. I know they say don't bother with a lot of devices, but it feels right, right?!

I bought a bluetooth keyboard & mouse to use on my fire tablet, works very well 👍

Yeah I'm that old that I can't type properly a sentence of more than two words on a phone or tablet. BUT am a quite proficient at blind typing  so going with what works.

I am wondering how many scaringly fast young magic thumbs phone typers can't even imagine doing this on a regular keyboard...

Or both if you happen to have two devices?  I've had times when a pc worked or others when a phone did.

PC and I pad for me only, and a phone handy in case the bank needs a transaction  verification for the payment.  And a Samsung galaxy tablet on hand just in case..   nothing worse than a nervous shaky hand and fat fingering😉

Maybe they're playing with us 😂

Yes...if you have more than one device then try to use different connections for each.

I would have this but it's my wife's and she doesn't use it all that much aside from Neflix and a pair of apps. Good shout tho for avoiding careless mistakes!

Pretty sure you can use any debit card (credit card for international).

Do we know if the card used for payment still has to be the lead bookers? (I thought it did but now unsure!)

You can use a debit or credit card if you are in the U.K. BUT there has been a big change since the last time there was a general sale, Seetickets are now using the bank's online authorisation system at the payment page (this came in this year when the resale happened), this may well cause people a problem if they are using someone else's details and they don't get the OTP code through in time (you have 5 minutes to complete the sale), in years past if a credit card sale didn't go through correctly you could sort it out afterwards with Seetickets, that option is gone, just to be clear, on the payment page you will see the box from your bank wanting to verify it is you doing the transaction, you can verify by a code to your mobile or by generating a code on your banking app, the sale will not go through until your bank verify the transaction.

How this affects overseas sales is yet to be seen, unless anyone on here bought resale tickets from abroad earlier this year and can confirm.

I did and had to use my app to confirm, but my bank's been doing the app thing from a couple of years now. So if your bank does that, expect to have to.

Yes, the card I generally use usually brings up the authorisation box but not always, even on the same website, the system is also a bit flaky, doesn't always complete correctly first time, I can see this causing a few upsets this year, nothing worse than getting as far as the payment page and it failing, must admit when I saw the box during the resale I panicked a bit, luckily it went through O.K.

Probably a stupid question but would using an incognito tab count as a different connection?

Not a stupid question at all.....but no, if the rate limiting is based on IP then there's no advantage to using an incognito session as IP address is not hidden.

what are peoples opinion on autorefreshers? do they work and how many seconds do you set them at? also if im using a second device, will using a vpn / incognito mean that i will be coming in on a separate connection and therefore not hit the refresh block
