I hope its standing. Really not a fan of seated shows, but I guess you get to 'keep' your spot.

Seated is worse in virtually every way. Surely it also lowers the possible capacity of the floor space too? Not that anyone actually sits when the show starts, but what an atmosphere killer

Allocated seating swerves the silly trend of people camping in the queue for three days in advance. Only benefit though really.

The camping trend is genuinely a plague of modern gig culture. I cannot fathom what it would be like for Taylor; be fields dedicated to it

Yep. Be okay in Cardiff and London because those stadiums have massive concourses but in a residential area like Anfield it’s gonna be a mess. Be winding all the way through Stanley Park whilst people are trying to walk their dogs.

Genuinely this is why I'm having the conversation with a friend of just getting a seated ticket on the bowl (Wembley). I really don't fancy standing behind hundreds of people who camped out. Just to be stood behind them and for them to do the 'You can't stand near me I waited x hours for this spot'.

This is the perfect type of show to see from the stands isn't it? The production will be amazing, and you won't catch all that from the pit.

+1 on this, saw another stadium show recently from front row of the 2nd tier and it was the perfect view imo!

Whats the best strategy then? Is there any point in using phone and laptop or will that mess things up as it needs to be both from the same account

I think it depends on when it asks you to put in the code.  Someone that got tickets in Singapore presale, said that they had various devices in the 'queue' and then whichever device got through first to input the code, they then used that one and closed out of the others.  But if it makes you input the code at the very beginning (i.e. before you even get into the queue), then I'd just be using the one device so as not to risk being kicked out.

I've been saying this to my daughter.  Went to Harry Styles in Slane and was in Bishopsgate, which was great, but we couldn't see part of the stage and fireworks etc, so I'd say that being a bit further back for a show like this can have it's advantages.

Do people know if there is standing/GA admission at these shows yet, or is it all seated like in the US? Found it very strange that an artist whose main demographic is teenage/young adults only offered seated floor space in America

Because we're crazy people and it translates to more money. You can sell seats at a higher premium than standing being at a relatively flat price. If i can sell the first 10 rows at £1000 each, then just reduce that price a £100 every 10 rows and sell them no matter what, why not do it. Never know, it could be half and half. The front is seated and the back is standing. Hardly any stadium tours in the u.s are standing. Coldplay, Metallica and Ed Sheeran are the ones currently doing it which is a rarity in itself in one year. Beyonce is all seated except for the club rennassaince section. Pink is seated, all the K Pop stadium tours.

with the likely influx of americans coming for these gigs its going to be even crazier when they see its all standing cause of the queuing which will indeed happen.

But if you are logged into your TM / AXS account, don't you think it will see you are in 3 separate queues? I did this for Fred Again on AXS and it booted me out of all 3 and I couldn't access the sale at all : (

Sorry to interrupt the tour chat, but it’s Speak Now day tomorrow and she’s changed the line “she’s better known for the things that she does on the mattress” in Better Than Revenge. Well done feminism, you won

Oh forgot about this with all the ticket business. Another new album to listen to!

What's the new line?

There are other financial incentives behind there being fewer general admission/standing shows in the US - if you have a reserved seat, you're more likely to get up to go spend money - if I'm on the floor with a good spot, I'm not going to fight my way out to the bar and back in with a beer, and then do it again when I inevitably have to piss it out later. Concessions takings per head at GA shows are lower than all-seaters.

Merch gets impacted too - witness the big lines for merch at the US shows, because everyone knows their seat is reserved and they don't want to miss out, whereas I bet the queuers at the UK legs won't even glance at the merch as they run in.

Obviously SPOILER if you’re waiting for the album

(Just reminded myself that I paid about $55 for 3 (THREE) beers at The Cure in Seattle last month which was all-seated, which would 100% not have happened if I'd have a standing ticket)

Oh theyll glance at the merch I guarantee you. And the queues you see for merch are OUTSIDE the stadium. Ill safely assume that there will be a pop up for a couple days before any gig if it does indeed end up being all standing.

There’s rarely anyone playing that doesn’t play an hour maximum from my front door. Not sure why I’d need to come to America to pay 10x the price and to sit.

Ive been to hundreds of standing gigs and never seen any stopped due to pushing 😂😂 what are you talking about
