Here, at Rock Werchter, their day hasn't sold out, whereas Olivia Rodrigo sold out her day very quickly. (Last time they played Werchter, some time ago, sold really poorly as well). Fair enough, but NY comment does not explain exactly how his artistic integrity is being compromised. Hence the speculation on here. He just generally blames BBC.
